I mean, I’m obviously BUFF AS FUCK, but maybe not quite as strong in the leg as Nelson there.
Doesn’t quite make sense tho, the question is really about what’s faster. Would matey be quicker on steel or ally?

ignore me...
misread as a not-steel frame, rather than not shit steel frame. -

Capo seemed like a reasonable shout tbh. Although the more I think about it, the more I think I should build up my lo-pro. If you’re going to build up an impractical bike, you might as well go the whole hog.

Confirms my hypothesis, since Pervis kicks harder than Vails 🙂

Is anyone else just bored? Not depressed, not unhappy just filled with an intangible dissatisfaction?

Does ennui cover life during Covid?
-
• #105640
This. Sick of my life at the moment, lol. Just day after day of nothingness.

Seems to be affecting the writers at the Onion too

The lead definition on Google is "listlessness and dissatisfaction arising from a lack of occupation or excitement", which fits lockdown pretty well

Sorry for the late reply - awesome.
And good shout on the switch

Yup.
Utterly ennui.
And yet still too much work to do, too few hours in the day.Your little one bringing light to your life, no?

I can’t find the quote I’m thinking of but I’m 99% sure it’s by Emil Cioran, and I’d understood from it that ennui is a wearied boredom caused by a person achieving a materially comfortable, predictable life. I’ll have another look later, see if I can find it.

ennui is...
...a movable feast. Emotional words are often the hardest to nail down.

“Villain” - Flower hat, eco friendly mode of transport, single wardrobe, increasingly negative kid count.
“Heroes” - massively energy inefficient industrialists (all those machines to cook an egg?!), drive or fly literally everywhere, fast fashion, net positive kid count.
Seems there’s a clear Natural World vs Rapacious Industrialism theme I hadn’t picked up on. All this time I’d naively believed the winner’s story...

I need to put a stop on a sliding door (pvc porch door) to stop it closing completely. I think crimping something onto the runner may be best, drilling looks very fiddly., any suggestions for something to use as a stop?
Does the £200 f&f budget swing in either’s favour?
Or, can you get a not shit steel track frame for £200?
