But that alloy is steel.

I skipped through it but found it was rubbish

I guess this is an old question and it's new answer is probably something Chinese

Is this fucked or usable?

A lot of the southern parts of the route were badly damaged in the recent storms, so not sure how rideable it is at the moment, nor when it will be.

Good knowledge! Wasn’t for anything in the near future. As you seem knowledgeable, do you know of any similar routes? Mixed terrain, nice scenery, decent hills etc.

Some wear and a broken/worn tooth, it’s usable but won’t do your chain any favours.

Thanks. I noticed a new campag cassette has a run of what look like worn teeth. So I was hoping this wasn’t too bad.

am I high or is this image seriously trippy

Difficult to tell because of the teeth profiling which aid shifting.
Use it and try -

@tinakino Por qué no los dos?

They ain't broken teeth, they're to aid shifting, it's pretty hard to tell if a cassette is too worn by eye unless it's really fucked and obvious, best way (if you haven't got the tool that I've never actually seen anyone have IRL) is to either measure the chain that's been used with it or if that's not an option try riding it with a new chain and put some force through every gear in the smallest chainring at the front against the brakes, no skipping then all good.

Thanks all

Is this the best thread to ask about stretching? Or is there a more frequented one?

(I'm looking for gentle stretching and core strengthening exercises for my lower back.)

I assume that sloped-tooth cog is just out of position on the cassette. It’s arriving with me this week, so I’ll report back and give everyone some closure on this.
-
• #105220
the photo has a fair few sloping teeth on it, just not in alignment.
11 + 10 are, 9 is a few round, the rest (presumably) are at another point on the cassette. -
• #105221
Well that’s concerning as I think 11, 10 and 9 should be riveted to the same carrier. Once it arrives, I’ll degrease it and photograph for further scrutiny.

Hi another hydro calliper question.
My buddy wants to use tiagra hydro shifters on an old cdf.
Of course it’s post mount. I was going to suggest hope RX4, but they don’t list tiagra as compatible. What other post mount calipers go with tiagra hydro levers?

If in doubt swap it with cassettes for me. Unless I’m not in the mood to spend the money, in which case just run it and see if it shifts like crap or not.

I’m trying to by a Canyon VCLS seatpost, looks like they’re discontinued but there’s no obvious replacement, not even knockoffs on AliExpress that I could find. Did it turn out to be a bad design or something? Anyone know where to get one? Cheers.
