seriously how much do you want for this bike, the fact that it's a slightly dodgy buy, has to have some impact on the price, people are taking a slight risk doing this?

IMO you MUST have a price in mind, bc you keep saying you want more than is offered.
EDIT: on a good day on ebay I recon you could get +£150 for this... but its not a good day and its not ebay
....also you should start to plan out proceedings for a claim against the housemate for the money he owes, so if you find out where he lives you can serve on him asap.
Remember if you make all reasonable endevors to serve on him at his last know address its possible to can get a judgement in default. And if you have his bank details then you may be able to get a court order to withdraw that amount.
Or once you've got a judgement, you might be able to sell the debt to bailiffs to get some of your money back.
If you haven't already done so, you need to vist your CAB or equivilent asap to get a full grasp of your legal postition.
This all might be much harder if he's not a British Citz.

Ok, peeps - were hoping for more than £150 but that's the best offer yet. So if there are any offers over £150 by lunch today, you'll get a nice 531 bike - a good deal!
Thanks all

£150 is a good price for that - all you idiots offering 70-80 quid have no clue - fully restored that would be worth a fair bit.
Personally if its about cash i would break it and sell on Ebay - the Mafac brakes alone would get you 50 quid

Thanks man, hear's hoping people listen up! Unfortunately, sale urgency is the most pressing issue now, so someone should get a bit of a bargain.

It is NOT legal to sell something that you don't own without clear consent.
I don't see how this isn't selling stolen goods, and as anyone will tell you, "Two wrongs don't make a right.".
The OP selling this because of unpaid debt doesn't make it 'morally legit'... it would definitely be classed as stolen.
It's a bit small but I wouldn't mind a 2nd Lapierre. Where are you located?
