Kris
my point was replace fat/thin with black/White or White/black
either way you'd end up with very racist statements

clearly if you go to a party and their are two women there i would expect you to chat up the one you find attractive and not chat up the other. it.
what's wrong with just talking to people just to have a conversation where you perhaps might learn something or share a joke? do people really go to social gatherings with 'i will only talk to attractive women i want to fuck' as their mantra?

Therefore if word association gives a clue to one's inner self, then here are some words I associate together.
Svelte - Frail
Curvaceous - StrongThis my be insightful to any of you budding Jungs.
To sum up, you have your personal preferences (which is fine), but certain associations you make can be proven dangerous.
fat - funny
skinny - sorrow
young - stupid
old - wise
ginger - sneaky
Jewish - greedy
Asian - terrorist
Saffa - loud
Aussie - drunk
Scouse - thief
Black - drug dealer
Polish - the whole reason the UK is fucked upmore?
To get to the point, I can't imagine, that as a Black person you were never just a little bit disappointed, that White people who go to a fancy dress party often don an afro wing for a comical effect. What is fucking comical about curly hair? Nothing. Yet people do this... Strange, isn't it?
Stereotypes - dem bad. We need them, because of human drive to categorise everything around. Categorising is what drives our brains, but then it's just a foundation of our knowledge.

I like the "old" one. I've never thought of myself as funny though and indeed find my own obesity rather depressing.

It's hard to say what shape are we supposed to be, because it depends on many factors (ie. ethnic origin, cultural stereotypes, level of fitness etc.).
Not at all, it's perfectly reasonable to say that somebody should be any physical shape they like, unless it makes them unhappy and they want to change it.
You could also argue that clinically fat or thin people are endangering themselves purely by being at a certain weight.
But then again, people who smoke and drink are endangering themselves. Where do you draw the line? -
