Very interested.
I can be more definite in a month. -
• #129
sorry, just edited, bikes need to be in boxes for the bus journey, not the ferry
-
• #130
So I'm asking, what about the boxes? Do you fold them up and take them with you?
-
• #132
the coach is for those that really dont want to ride, however if there are enough of us it will make sense to send all our clothes etc for the weekend ahead
as such the ride really should be pretty easy, as suggested by hippy

I might consider taking part in it (hopefully I will still have my balls), but I've never done more than 35 miles :-)
I was also thinking, that maybe I will drive (if, you know, it's painful for me) and then take 3 bikes with me and people's luggage in Grand Scenic. How does it sound?
-
• #134
Kris that would be awesome
but hoping you are fit to ride by then
do a couple of long rides beforehand -
• #135
OK, spoke to my wife.
I'm 100% in. If I decide to drive, I own a Grand Scenic like I said, which has plenty of space when I fold the seats and a roof box. The distance isn't a problem - I do drive through Belgium and Germany in one go, but they do have proper roads.
I'd have to sort out a big bike rack (which is a pain, because most of them don't fit the Scenic - someone ask Scott not Scot what rack he used to have, please). Then I will be able to take another person with me, all the luggage and few bikes. -

Pisti and Platters on a tandem--would be epic. :)

I fancy doing the ride rather than the coach. I won't be on 48:16 this time :-)
Nevertheless, advance warning of the number and size of the hills would be great; got to know how many cans of ale to take :-) -
• #138
have a look at the link hippy posted
it does not look to hilly
-
• #139
Ooh, street view really makes me want to go there!
The route out of Glasgow has us going the wrong way down all the one way streets :-) -

You might want to give the organisers advance warning of the number and size of your gears. :D

No holidays for me during the months of June/July.
Very, very annoyed. This also fucks up my plans for the DD.
-
• #145
I'm interested but am in discussions about holidays for the summer.
Can you put me down as a tentative?
edit: bollocks just checked the diary and I'm not even free.
