Thank you to Ma3k for an awesome event. I found the pace a lovely relaxed rate with a few big stops so we could guzzle our beers. I only saw one spectacular crash (i hope whoever you are- youre not hurting to badly).
Thank you to the guy who passed me his multitool so that i could tighten my handlebars while we were on the move! Then travelled with me most of the ride. Thank you very much.
BlueQuinn - youre a gentleman as ever!
There was definitely much love in this ride! And some seriously sexy Steads! -

i wish we'd not stopped so often. we'd only been riding for 9 minutes when we first stopped. more stops at off licences as well please! ....
Make your mind up.
Was a pretty big group and we had to stop periodically to get everyone back together again.
We stopped at enough off-licenses, your failure was to adequately provision..Good ride anyway.
Thanks all for coming.Just want Summer to arrive now.

Cheers Ma3k for organising the ride. About 10 of us got split up from the rest of the group around Bayswater. We then split up again at Notting Hill as some went the way we were supposed to go and four other's including me went down towards Shepherd's Bush roundabout. One dropped off at Holland Park so it was us three left. We then spent ages trying to find our way back onto the circle line but I eventually went off home at Victoria.
The ride through the Barbican was definitely my favourite part of the night. Generally a fun night though, looking forward to the next one.

Loved the ride, really well-led, I thought--nice one, John. Splits are inevitable on a ride this size, and there were enough catch-up points. Sorry to those I led astray at Harrow Road and Bayswater. cough Couldn't stick around for long at the end as I wanted to catch up with a friend elsewhere.
Favourite bits were narrowly missing the start and having to catch up, that big puddle at Great Portland Street and some staircarpet driving through it past all the riders (only made a surprisingly shallow splash, though), a moment spent lamenting the building of the Westway, and the section riding back east from High Street Kensington to Victoria, as it was very fluid and quiet.
Great to see huge16, Dropout, Psy, BlueQuinn, Bike Destroyer, owenreed, Lolo, rocksteady, adaplace, Teapots, mmccarthy, vélo libre, Digger, joe smith, cani, middleofnowhere, ChainBreaker, kisu_shimo, wools, jcgarcia, MA3K, diapo, and lots of others I probably should have met but didn't. Here's to another time!

who was the dude in shorts and t-shirt? you my friend, are nuts.
This has been posted a number of times before, by other people who've been mmccarthied.
I didnt go on the ride but I can safely say that was Mcarthy.
Well, Mick didn't go on the ride, either. He was on a ride all of his own. ;)

lpg was there? Ah man. Yet to put a face to the avatar!
I was in the group that missed the Barbican bit. What was it?
-
• #265
Also, the epic fail of both Lolo & ChainBreaker asking what time it was, several times, standing right beside Big Ben, fantastic!

Cheers for the heads up there Oliver. Wools, nice to bump in to you again today - we should do it more often!
I forgot to mention in my earlier post, and I know loads of people have already said it but, I really enjoyed the Barbican tunnel/wall route and it needs mentioning again. Cheers John for the great route.

So where does the tunnel/wall bit start/end? I need to know! :)

Excellent ride as ever and big thanks to Ma3k - a true forum hero for organising all these rides.
I've got some vid footage of parts of the ride - particularly the cracking barbican bit. I have neither the skills or the time to put together a vid like the one that was made last time but if anyone else is planning to I'm happy to send over the footage.
The only bit you can't have is where I stacked it right at the end trying to hop up the kerb a parliament square with tired legs.

Mo'fo'!
Big thanks to Rounce and T-4003 for beer and speedy guided return to the south east.
Brilliant fun first ride. My stand out parts were the barbican tunnels and the words 'charity ride' being repeated by peds - wtf?
