  • Shite, just punctured the rear tub and can't be bothered to remove the tape. If I manage to fix it with some sealant count me in.

  • Minimum requisite skills required

  • Yeah, ok :-)
Might try that Vittoria one - perhaps a better solution, than that Tufo sealant I used before, because I don't need to remove the valve. We will see.
I don't really want to walk with my bike. Or can I? Where's the ride - Brick Lane to Shoreditch? ;-P

  • the route is NOT brick lane to shoreditch, it's a helluva route dreamed up by a coupla clowns here.. namely me and shoots. There's no arguing about the dress code when it comes but you can be sure Mr C you'll feel right at home dressed as a fwockin clown oright?

details coming right up after this week's important work...it's gonna be huuuuuge

  • Looking forward to it!

  • imagiveitamissifihavetodressinclothestojimjamsspecificationsimwaytooserioustobeseendressedlikeacretinunlessitsofmyownaccord

  • no one will see you and say, "ooh, there's object". you'll be dressed as a fwockin clown. and it ain't my specifications.. the more you dress up, the less you'll be seen dressed like it, if you get me. it's a great equation..

  • But I look like a clown anyway!
Can't we do the "come as another forum member" idea, I can then come as one of my aliai?

  • wasn't that another ride?

listen me and shoots are getting together tomorrow to get this shizzle sorted out, then we'll be putting the info up over the weekend.. but the dressing up bit is only something that has been hanging around since the start of the idea, it's certainly not my idea.. I'm not into dressing up and shit either, then for some reason I started thinking it would make it all the better.. once the info's here you can hopefully work out what you're going to interpret the dress code as.

You know I'm only playing with you. When have I ever been shy about dressing up/making an ass of myself?

If I come along you can be assured it will be with 100% commitment to having fun.

    /attachments/16370

the pink one was supposed to be finished first but is a more complicated build involving steerer chopping and all sorts.. so this one's first. it's a bit too small but if all else fails I will at least be rockin it clown style next week... hopefully have the pink one ready tomorrow night

  • LOPROPOLOCO Ride Sunday 25th October 2009 2.30pm

Okay apologies if you like your rides in a nice google map but I only just got back and I'm knackered from the weekend... and we want this ride to be a little bit of a surprise... so anyway, here's a bit of info....

    Dressing Up

We started out from the idea that if a bunch of us ride in a group on our lo pros, we're going to look like a bunch of clowns. It's just like that. So.. we thought it would be great to go the whole way and ride as a proper bunch of clowns. To achieve this the dress code will be "clown". You would be expected to at least wear a clown face and maybe some clown hair or a hat and the rest is your interpretation.. you will not be expected to wear full clown costume and comedy long shoes due to toe overlap and chain snagging issues but it's all up to you... there are plenty of different clown looks. If, like eyebrows for example, you have a bunch of ideas already, then you can fully work them in, no danger. But yeah, the dress code is clowns for this ride... and there will be prizes - for "best clown costume" as well as "rider rendered most unrecognisable through the transforming alchemy that is clown wear". If you're not well known to everyone, bring a photo as proof of what you normally look like.

The beauty of it is that the more you get dressed up as a clown, the less of a clown you'll be, yet the more of a clown you'll be, but the less of a clown you'll be.. it's a proper mind fizzer when you start to think on it, it really is...

    The Ride

Clowns are most often found in circuses. So we'll be going for a nice ride of about 20 miles that will take in as many of London's circuses as we can fit in. Here are the circuses we are thinking about for the ride:

    Circus House
    Circus Place
    Circus Street
    Circus Road
    Arnold Circus
    Finsbury Circus
    Ludgate Circus
    Holborn Circus
    Cambridge Circus
    Piccadilly Circus
    Percy Circus
    Oxford Circus
    Queens Circus
    St George's Circus
    Gloucester Circus
    Westferry Circus

We are still working on the feasibility of including all of them but the route is shaping up nicely.
    **

    Side Attractions**

    Clown bike TT
    Tag racing
    Fwockin Donuts for every clown
Lo Pro Hall of Fame Photocall - mystery location
    Clown Social (pub stops)

It really will be a fantastic afternoon out.. watch this space for the starting place as we are still weighing the best one up..

  • you know, john wayne gacy started life as a clown....
(i've been listening to Sufjan Stevens today).

jesus christ pjs, this is going to be rondonculous.
shame though, I was looking forward to my overly tight jeans, where can i find clown make up?
