This mate, did he wear a Supreme baseball cap and look a bit like Mick Jones from the Clash?

I worked at the fox throughout university (whilst back from Leeds on my holidays). has been about 4 years since, but locals haven't changed, and some of the staff are still there. I vote yes to the fox!!!

Most of your mates are grandparents anyway ;^)

I had the worst cooked breakfast of my life in the Fox, fact (not related to cheap beers, just joining in story time)

There are certain definite don'ts on the menu, you have to learn the art of picking and choosing correctly.
The learning curve can be painful though(t). -

So nominations for the second pub then?
The Fox is indeed a shitehole. But as the granny fiddler says, its got a massive beer garden. Not sure how great that's going to be in this weather, but who knows. It does involve a hill too... but also Camberwell.
Need to plan some eating points in this too. Eating is not cheating.

But as the granny fiddler says
Ha, love it! Joe to be known as the granny fiddler from now on.

we could always do walworth road bagels, they do a jerk chicken one which is too good for words.
or are you thinking someplace to sit down and eat? not sure we'll have the time really. -

I'm just rightus for tickling your arthritis
But yeah Corny, that sounds like a plan. I've got stuff to do on Saturday, and with 6+ pubs, I know food will save the day. Alternatively, I could try not to drink 6+ pints.

Judging by others on the list, it seems like a good place to be.

okay, just collecting all the data in one place.
- The Kings Arms (SE Beers original location)
- A Pub In Kennington - TBC - The Doghouse perhaps? Or nominate another.
2a. Stop off at Walworth Road Bagel Place for hot stuff, which we can take with us and eat as necessary - The Hermit's Cave - Camberwell - slush puppy cider hmm.
3a. Possible stop at the Fox, Denmark Hill, instead of the Hermits Cave? - The Mansion - Gypsy Hill
- The Commercial - Herne Hill, cos I want a pint of Paulaner
- The Effra Hotel - Brixton - the jazz will be on and hopping by then.
- The Coach and Horses - later license and the spiritual home
new list with only those who can make it on the 6th
- Snowy - all dates are fine.

Any alternatives for the kennington pub? speak now or forever hold your peace otherwise we'll leave it as the doghouse.

Doghouse is fine by me, they serve Stowford Press and there are loads of tables outside...
-
• #70
I might be able to make this.. If we're going either Hermit's Cave or The Fox, I'd choose the former any day of the week
-
• #71
What's up with students today? Here we have an opportunity to partake of fine ales at £1.69 a pint yet they'd rather go elsewhere.
No wonder the country is in the financial mess it's in.

Andy, my halls of residence were just around the corner from the Fox.. I've had my fill of that place

I was joking Will. No need to explain. The Fox is a dump.
I mainly posted it for your benefit. I know how much you love that place. :p
