  • If you do video, get a proper graphics card

  • Get the iMac and split the fusion drive. Instal the OS on the SSD and use the 1tb HD for the rest. Desktop i5's and laptop i5's are not equal either. I think a desktop i3 near batches a laptop i7.

  • I agree with the others, an iMac would be better for video work. It'll preform a lot better then the baseline macbook pro.

A used macbook air might be a good companion for the future if you had to travel.

  • Stop buying apple products. You are living in an apple product graveyard.

  • I have 4x8gb sticks for macbook pro for sale. Taken out of macbook pros. PM me.

  • Apple Carplay has been under the radar for a while but a lot of investment is going in to this platform in preparation for autonomous vehicles. I just bought a head unit for my little bus, looking forward to putting it through it's paces. http://www.apple.com/uk/ios/carplay/

  • I'm working on a 5k iMac at the mo, and it's rather good. Only offlining HD video in Premiere, but it's nice and nippy. I reckon it could easily do some heavy lifting - I've cut 4k prores on a lower end iMac very happily before. I bet this iMac could come close to realtime grading of 4k raw stuff if you had a fast enough drive.

  • Anybody got any old macbooks lying around looking to sell?

Consider anything post 2009, the family are jealous of mine!

  • SO want one of these. Which one do you have?

  • Just updated to iOS 9 today and it has made everything really laggy... Many regrets right now, just makes me want to buy the new iPhone...

  • Just updated to iOS 9 (...) Many regrets right now

I stopped counting how often I have heard that this week.

  • I've just updated my 4s and the performance is far better, but it did run like crap on ios8. I can't stand the new font though, looks like the love child of Helvetica and comic sans.

  • I'm on the fence with my 5s, so mainy complaints, but my battery life is pretty shit since the last update.

  • Or the lithium ion battery has had a years worth of daily charge cycles...

Our iPad 2 seems a bit snappier at some things, if anything. Battery was already fading.

  • It's driving me crazy! I keep on getting these 2-5 second freezes every couple of minutes

  • Try doing a reset to factory settings update maybe, then put your data back on it.

  • SALE SPAM!
I have a 24inch ACD for sale if anyones interested...

  • Enjoying my 6s!

  • Any iPhone users out there are with O2? I have just switched back to an iPhone and so finally can, in theory, enjoy the 4G service that I am paying for (perviously Andriod phone wasn't supported by O2 4G).

My question is, now I have a 4G phone that O2 supports, 4G plan and a 4G sim, do I actually need to set anything up? I have tried using their setup website and all I am getting is error page time after time, and a quick Internet search results in many people in the same situation. Called to CS and was told there is no need to set anything up and all will be fine by yesterday pm - not true. Can't get hold of anyone from their CS as there is a long wait with everyone wants to take out the new iPhone...

My area has excellent coverage according to O2.

O2 online chat, well let me find a solid of wall and bang my head against it, as it'd be less painful.

  • Might be worth turning it off and on again, if you haven't already. I don't know why but it seems some networks/phones can only change settings when you restart the phone - going to flight mode and back doesn't work.

  • I have tried everything I could possibly think of, turning on / off, resetting the network setting, on/off wifi, tried the phone at different location etc. I even tried factory reset the phone which is brand new... The sim card is also brand new which is why they told me the transfer could take up to 24 hours (transferring calls ability and network could happen at differnet times etc), but nothing...

I still think I need to manually set it up through their website which hasn't worked since Friday and like I said, nobody from O2 is helping... so...

  • I had O2 4G, and it was a simple as buying a 4g phone (5s), and having a 4g contract. All worked fine. Maybe move around a bit? Go into central and hunt some signal?

O2 web chat have been pretty helpful in the past.
