Looked at the 13 inch macbook pro retina. Bought the 13 inch macbook pro retina. migrated my entire system from the timemachine to rMBP in 45 minutes over thunderbolt. Renewed MacLove now, especially how easy it was to set myself up after having everything stolen.
Now anybody got any good recommendations for an external hard drive for me to dump my iTunes, etc so I can finally get into some decent file management practices and keep the computer itself clear for on the fly working.

If wee portable ones are acceptable, I really like the Seagate backup plus 1 TB I bought. USB3 and faster to read and write than the G-Tech I have ever is or was.

If you have the money then look into Glyph Tech. I doubt you'll find better. They even come HFS+ formatted.

Where do you find these, only seem available in the states... or the absolute monster studio ones.

Hence the money part. Wanted to get a hold on the RAID unit for a long time to no avail...

It seems to have become more expensive now than a year or two ago for thunderbolt anything, let alone ssd.

Sounds more like malware. Check your browser extensions.
Also download onyx, I think that can find issues like this. -

Daily update issue 1012123:
I am pretty sure the engineers are heading to their wits' end... they are asking me if I have some random software installed... guess they are not that much smarter than we are.
More to come...

I think they should just give you one of every model.
I found an iMac running OS 9.1 in Quito today, reminded me I found 9.x a lot more buggy than any OS X. -

I think they should just give you a linux machine.
fixed

Actually, you might be in to something there...
If you bootcamped it and it had no sleep issues in windows mode then surely that would indicate software issues... If it did then hardware... -

I don't have a windows copy of any generation though. I suppose I could install a trial verison?

Is everything broken?
Speedtest recons Ping 249ms, Upload 4.3, Download 0.23. I've never known it so slow, most sites won't load at all. -

I think @chrisbmx116 was suggesting to run linux on your mac, via bootcamp, in 'windows mode'.

too flat and the keys don't bounce back, so it's somewhere inbetween a vitural keybaord and a physical one... the keys are full size but distance between them is closer, so quite a bit different...
Was going to make the exact same comment. I was really impressed with the unveil at the last event as far as the aesthetics go. Got into an Apple store last week to have a touchy feel of one and the keyboard was a real turn off. There is no response when you type, it feels like you haven't even pushed down the keys.
Was planning to wait until the Pro of this new model was out then upgrade my slow 2010 pro...
maybe not anymore. -

Nope. Windows.

Everyone is whinging about the keyboard - just like they did when the iphone came out and everyone had a blackberry. But now - no-one bats an eyelid typing on a flat touchscreen. If they had made a dual touchscreen laptop (i.e. two ipads higned together), I can't seen anyone complaining. I remember seeing this a few years back. I reckon this is where its going.

Ok so I've been using my newly installed SSD and RAM for a week now with no problems, big improvement in performance. Slight lag with my magic mouse from time to time when working
n with large PSDs but that seem s to be it.
Should I upgrade to mavericks or stick with 10.6.8, whatever the heck that's called?
^^How? I mean I've tried, you got any tips?
