I've finally replaced the indevidual keys on the keyboard that were affected. To do so I purchased a new keyboard for 40 notes. I now have a brand new keyboard with backlight with five missing buttons, any ideas on how I can recoup some of the 40?
Double fu*k up!
I spilt water over my girlfriends macbookpro 13 keyboard….I instantly tipped it on to it's right side to let the water run off.
after dabbing the water off the keyboard with kitchen paper I then had the bright idea of steaming the water out using a hair dryer. Then I melted four of the keys on the keyboard!!!
Jesus Christ on a Bike!!!
So the laptop still turns on and off in full operation and the keys still work although all warped.
A replacement keyboard online will cost me £40 plus jewel screw driver set, I'm quite technically able so should be able to switch keyboard out (I used to be a PC technician, never replaced a macbook keyboard before though). Is there anything else I need to be doing????

Attach the keys to small chains and sell them as necklaces.

Going back to beta of 10.10, would a 4GB ram mac mini be fast enough? Tempted to give it a go if there is still quota left for download...

You could buy individual keys from eBay...

Is this possible?
We run MacBooks and iPads at home over the BT broadband super duper thingy mijiggy...
I have an apple airport base and extender the little plug in thing with USB ports on a shelf doing nowt as the BT thingy mijiggy is brill.
At the moment I can use our samsung laser printer as an air printer with a little plug in app on my Mrs MacBook...works great.
Except her MacBook has to be plugged into the non air printer and in the open position, due to the MacBook shutting down if closed.So....is there a way to get the non air print printer to work wirelessly through the airport base station, I.e bypass the need for a MacBook to be plugged in.
I hope that makes sense and that my question is clear...cheers.

I can't believe I didn't check for indevidual keys first. I've seen them on ebay now, it would of cost me about 20 coins for 5 keys anyhow. I'll try to get rid of the keyboard/keys on there then.

Is the printer USD or Networked?
I think you can set the printer up via USB on the Airport Base Station.

There was this old joke, while western countries invest billions and billions of dollars to invent this and that. The chinese spend a fraction of that to copy and make it "better", see for yourself Apple fanboys and girls.
Sometimes when I am asked if I am chinese, I erm... erm...

Sorry if I'm missing something, but why exactly did you not just swap the keyboard as a whole but replaced individual keys?
