was bloody nerve wracking taking out all the little connectors and unscrewing everything. you literally have to remove everything from inside the casing to fit the second drive.
I've plans to do this to my MBP 13. Checked instructions the other day, I'll be a nervous wreck whilst doing it.

I'm perfectly at home using terminal so it's not a worry for me doing most things on a mac.
I did however detour through souths drinks last night so my mac is still in the same state it was yesterday.
tonight maybe.

So my wifi issues last week according to the Genius in the apple store is a coincidence but they dont believe in coincidences.
So its not the software, its a hardware issue. Something im not believing and after I told him I was wanting to move back to Snow leopard from Lion, he said we dont recommend going backward as all new software is for the new operating system and they forget about the older version.
Total bunnet, apple are going down the tubes with constant upgrading and not actually providing the same service as when I bought my first mac 8 years ago.
Its all money money money and not providing a product that was always super reliable.

**shameless plug, **
I make custom iphone cases for my friends at school using the latest 3d printer. Any design you could think of I could find a way to incorporate into a case even if its a cutout on the back of your name so you dont forget it! Prices are around £15 for a moderately complicated case. Let me know if you have any requests or anything needed 3d printedV-L

Anyone got a recommendation for headphones with a button for music control on iPhone (think it works on iPod too), in ear, not noise cancelling?
-
• #3647
My (5 year?) old iPod Classic has just started pausing the music at random a couple of times per song. Is this an easy fix / major repair / bin job?
could be the hard drive crapping out mid read and causing it to pause maybe.
it is possible to replace them in most ipod classic sized ipods (likewise maplins do new batterys) could try overhauling it yourself but it's possibly not worth the bother if it's the logic board that's knackered.

The apple official ones are the best. Apparently the inside bits are made by bose.

If it's the HDD it's dead easy to replace. Think battery is easy too, unless it requires a bit of soldering like in first version iphones?

No soldering required, up to the 4th gen iPod AFAIK.
It's probably got something to do with kexts. If not try exorcising your daemons ;)
Seriously though a lot has changed under the bonnet with ML. It's a lot more of an upgrade than most people realise.
I'm not going to ask what sickbeard or couch potato do...
Edit: Oh, actual apps. I thought by the names you'd written them yourself!
