Mac studio arrived. Not acknowledging cabled keyboard or mouse and I’m therefore stuck on the first screen. Cool. Steve Jobs spinning in his grave etc etc

The fucker beeps every time I press a key but I can’t get past the first screen. On the phone to support now. Person I’m dealing with seems incapable to understand that the Magic Mouse is not the only type of mouse available on planet earth. Took me minutes to explain

Borrowed a magic keyboard and mouse off a neighbour and it’s working now. How ridiculous that it will only accept those sources for setup

Who'd have thought apple would stoop so low.

MacBook Pro display has been repaired by Apple. Took it in on 24th aug, got the email to come and collect it on the 1st sept.
Looking forward to getting it back. Working on a rental Mac is an awkward and unsettling experience..

Whenever I connect my projector (via airplay, over the projetor's WiFi), my MBP sens the audio to this as well - is there a setting that just keeps the audio playing where it was beore (either MBP' buil-in speakers, or external)?
There must be something I reckon yet I can't seem to find it..
Thanks!

Click the audio icon in the top bar and select a different output?
-
• #19569
Oh yea, that works of course - what I meant was: is there a way to keep the same output (without it sending the audio signal over to the projector every time I send the video over).
I need to switch between built-in display and projector a lot in this scenario, and it gets annoying to hear the audio over the projector's (shit) speaker and having to send it back to the mac / to the proper speakers connected to the mac. -

Do you use a package manager on your Mac? if so which one?
-

No, I don't.

Haven't used it myself but maybe something like this could work

I got Apple TV+ free for a bit. Can't watch it on the Tele because Chromecast and airplay not being friends. If I get an old Apple TV box, do I just plug that into my non smart Tele and I'm laughing?
If so, anyone got a cheap old Apple TV box?Edit: not a Chromecast smart thing that I can install apps on, just the old streaming one
Of all the brands / designs to rip off...
