Lol. It's basically this but 2.4 GHz and 8GB in the graphics card.

How much difference does it make to the images? I've shot 500+ products with LR tethered and it's patchy at best so I'd be keen on a better solution. As long as it doesn't require a shitload of post to align the look of the images. Guess it could be batched though?

Well, all tethering has cutout issues, but C1 seems to be better so far, it's what the program was made for so I found it easier to use for a start.
It's really hard to put a finger on it, but it just is? I feel like my images look better when editing in C1, and you have MUCH more control. Having all the layers for a start. Plus it exports images at twice the speed.
Once I'd got over the little UX differences (didn't take too long, lots of good tutorial videos), I was hooked.

Yeah if the price was okay I would have snapped that up.
Happy with what I’ve got so far..
A larger ssd would have been nice but not a deal breaker.. -

What we talking?

What’s the spec Ben?

I need a week or so to get my mini first before I can sell so I'm not left without a computer.

If I end up with an iPad Pro as my primary computer, can I still print using my wired-only Canon G1200?
Just use a USB-B to USB-C cable? -
• #17560
Get a 2nd hand airport express and hook your printer up to that
-
• #17561
That's more than just a cable though; so the cable won't work?
-
• #17562
Bit of an obscure one and minor issue, but I’m trying to change the icons on my external hard drives, usually just Apple + I on the drive and copy and paste a new icon on.
Have done a couple of drives , but the last couple I’ve tried to do this week, won’t change and I just get a rejection beep, everytime I try to paste a new icon in.
Anyone having the same issue or fixed it, or am I just missing something super simple? -
• #17563
No idea. Just thinking a cable is a hassle and for a few tenners you’ll be fine without
-
• #17564
Hm, the used ones (even some new old stock) are cheaper than I imagined.
Thanks! -

Mac Mini turns up. Great. But with the older apple keyboard and a non apple mouse & Wacom I can’t set it up. Gotta wait till
Monday do do that now when I can borrow some. Thanks Apple.Seems weird that there’s no way I can do it via my MacBook Pro.
-
• #17566
Use your phone as a bluetooth keyboard/mouse via an app? Just to get it started maybe.
-
• #17567
Are you sure? Even if you can't get the mouse to work for whatever reason, you can set up a Mac using just the keyboard.
-
• #17568
Yeah, but mine is the old AA battery Apple Bluetooth keyboard, which it doesn’t recognise.
Apparently as soon as I get past this first bit my other kit will work, but not for the initial setup. Super annoying considering I have a phone and MBP I could connect to it. Can’t be that hard to code in, if the magic keyboard and mouse have it.
-
• #17569
I'm still on Catalina, should I bother with Big Sur? My MBP is around two years old... I think? Pros and cons...
-
• #17570
Mine is a cheap Logitech keyboard, worked fine.
-
• #17571
Really? Bluetooth? The new M1 Mac mini? Weird okay will try again, cheers. Though seems like I’m not the only one online with this problem.
-
• #17572
cons
it looks like a semi-transparent rainbow fuckfest
-
• #17573
Should work fine, it’s a standard Bluetooth HID device.

This is what I’m talking about:

I've had problems with a Logitech mouse on an M1 Mac, it appears to work fine, except one or two consistent repeatable failures, like click-drag-release. The button release doesn't seem to register. Logitech support couldn't shed any light on it, but this makes sense so cheers for the link.
Apple are about to flood the bluetooth spectrum with location based beacons, maybe it's something to do with that....
Ahh well if it's free....
I would say check out C1 though, I do find it superior, and the consensus is that it's better for processing Fuji (and Sony which I use) files.
