It’s a 1tb non ssd hard drive. Do you think that’s the issue? Not the memory?

Does anyone have a Magic mouse they want rid of? My nephew threw mine across the room in a toddler tantrum.

Not sure if you’re the jailbreaking type. But if you’re still on iPadOS 13.5, with the Unc0ver jailbreak, I think you’d be able to do the system wide DNS without using a VPN

I use AdGuard (free)as my Adblock and apparently the premium allows a custom dns, not sure through what means though.

I’d put money on it being your hdd, potentially getting close to failing.

Thanks all. I’ll try the HD upgrade first then.

Only gripe is not being able to permanently disable the backlight. It keeps re-enabling if i take the iPad off of the case then back on later
This.
Also, no escape key so I’ve set the caps lock as escape since I rarely use all caps and need to escape full screen vids easily.

Wouldn't usb3 cut it? I've got mine and it's plenty fast, even using it as a scratch disc for photoshop
-
• #15797
Yep, ordered a usb3 in the end. Will report back

That Caldigit TS3+ is crazy good, didn't know I needed it before I started using it (just got delivered today)
The USB hub in the Dell started glitching this week. Power cycling a display is not fun and requires too much under-desk crawling.

This is probably a logic board fail, right? It will boot up, sometimes getting to the desktop, but screen is garbled and nothing responds.

is it a hard drive, not ssd?
i installed an external SSD as the boot drive for catalina on my gfs 2013 iMac and it went from being unusable to absolutely fine for basically everything id need it for.
8GB ram is fine
