Could be neat with a tiny bezel, don’t think it’s be much bigger than the current 15?
I’d love the 30”+ iMac if they bring one out

It’ll probably be about the same size as the older 15 inch? My 15inch MBP is a fair bit smaller than my old MBP... but is 1 inch really that much different?

Are we talking width or length? 🍆

It's a bit of a pain with eGPU's due to the fact it can only connect to the laptop (TB3) and not an eGPU directly, its costing me a bit of performance that way.

My wallet fears this years Apple hardware...
I would love a Mac Pro or the larger laptop if they put a decent GPU in it (unlikely, plus my current Vega would prob still outperform it).

Yeah totally, its more whats inside that interests me. Ive currently got £1400 sitting on a gift card waiting to buy a new MacBook but i'm gonna hold off till these new ones drop as surely they will have more power under the hood than the current 15 although my only worry is the bigger price tag they will no doubt have.

You might have to wait a while as they were updated last summer, but I’m more than happy to be proven wrong :)

Have you not got better things to don’t than trolling?

I just relented and ordered a new MBP, so yeah, they will immediately update the whole range to spite me.

Just done the same. 13" 16GB of RAM and the processor upgrade option. My early-2011 is dying a death.

Hah same with 1TB SSD. Almost got a maxed out Air but didn’t think the weight and size decrease was worth it.

Very interested in this rumoured new 6k3k Apple display.
Seems like this might be a big year for non iPhone Hardwear. A new iPad mini would also be great -

It's called having fun, you should try it some time...

if i understand correctly it works inline with any GPU that is USB-C enabled though, right?

I'm not buying any new apple hardware until they stop their childish spat with Nvidia. Mojave has broken the Nvidia drivers (to focus on AMD) which means that my Nvidia eGPU no longer works on MacOS. Every few years Apple switch focus between supporting either Nvidia or AMD, but never both at the same time. Grrr.

Sadly not... as it is not USB C but rather DP x 2 combined into one TB3, bane of my bloody life.
The 4K will work though as that is USB C.
And I believe with new protocols and TB3 chips the future displays will work, but the current UltraFine 5K will only ever be able to be plugged into a TB3 port (worked on my Hack too, in Windows @4K). -

Replacement macbook air battery, any recommendations on battery suppliers.
-
• #13773
iFixit I guess? Slightly less hit and miss compared to eBay at least
-
• #13774
Yes sorry, USB-C @4k is what I meant
-
• #13775
Errr... I'm getting confused.
The 5K does not work with USB C, only TB3.
The 4K works with either.
The 5K connected to TB3 in W10 works @4k.
New 16" MBP coming out this year apparently and the MacBook is gonna take 32gb.
To hold off for as long as possible although i think the 15 is probs as big as i need.
