It was vacant possession and we have been ready to move since day one. There were three discrepancies in the lease so our solicitor were asking for indemnity policies to compensate. The other side kept producing policies that didn't fit the bill so they had to do a lot of back and forward. Found out yesterday that half of our solicitors emails to the other side were being filtered into a junk folder.......

We took a load of sand, rubble, flagstones, and other crap from the garden to the dump on Sunday. I then decided to go the whole hog and see if I could shift what previous occupants had put behind/down the side of the shed.

Gosh. Why dump shit in your own garden? I find that odd. Better out than in though.

Inside is pretty much finished. Stairs need waxing, most of it needs a second coat of paint, but we're pretty much there. It's so close to being done that it's much easier to sit on the sofa and watch the Tour than finish it.

The house is probably wonky but I meant the picture above the fireplace. Regardless of house or camera, that needs a little nudge to the right.

TV needs centering on the table, remote is not aligned perfectly with the arm of the sofa and the pleats in the net curtain are irregular.
