I'm flattered, given that I'm an old man with weary bones and that is clearly a youthful attractive guy full of energy.
-
• #6978
I thought the same.

• #6979
He's certainly youthful.

A few months ago I asked about financial advisors/planners. My partner came into a bit of money and we want to check out our options (buying/shared ownership). Can anyone recommend someone to talk to again?
-

Tomorrow, I intend to rise early and ride my bike 180 degrees in the wrong direction of work to Goffs Oak to see Martin Browne, and sign the final papers to exchange on (hopefully) my new property. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly, and I don't get squashed by a bus on the way, although, this would make the exchange a rather moot point I suppose.

Blue prints and plumbing plans and stuff about your house. Who will have? Council?
-
• #6989
You're new to this game, aren't you?
For your place the council might have some plans archived somewhere, but usually you have to work it out yourself, or with the aid of your chosen plumber.

Our managing agent, a surveyor by profession, didn't have a clue as to the plumbing, heating, or the fundamental structural system of construction employed in the block in which I live.
He refused to believe that the entire kitchen was plumbed into one 3" waste stack until I showed him said stack.
Basically, what Andy said.

There is a reason why lots of Middle aged men have something like this in their toolbox. Never bang a nail in without one.

There's a series of pipes that go upstairs. Through our wardrobe. One is leaking.
Why they fuck aren't blueprints supplied on purchase? -
• #6993
Is it leaking at a joint, or is it sweating condensation?
-
• #6994
Building blueprints??
-
• #6995
I thought it might be sweating condensation. So threw pipe lagging around it. It is still wet, or was last night. And so were my clothes. :(
-
• #6996
Strip all the lagging off, dry the pipe with towels, identify beyond doubt if it is leaking or if it is condensation.

Looks like we'll be completing on 8th January and be able to move in after the 16th.

Thanks.
I have a garage, I'm gonna stick hooks on the walls and try to make it as organised as possible. My girlfriend has got used to not having bikes in the house now so there's no going back.
I was questioning whether the above gif looked a little bit like you...
I stand by my accusation.
