Not sure what everyones problem is, the shed looked good on Rightmove.
-
• #52331
I'd probably not be going down to the shed at night to investigate a strange noise with a flickering torch that often.

you weren't before you moved it

This renovation stuff is ridiculous. Had a builder quote the shared flat roof repair at 12k and he can't even put it in an email for me to share with the residents.
My flat builders just so bad at communicating even in the getting to a quote stage

That's nice. Kitchen a bit weird but possibly makes sense in actual use.
G2 listing basically, unless you're planning on having additions to the footprint or height of building, changing the windows, or painting it pink, your alright. Worth reading up on exactly why it's listed. Could just be the frontage, or that someone vaguely important was born there!

I've been trying for a month to get someone to quote / proceed with a solar + Tesla Powerwall install.
Got the money ready to go, it's a super simple install.
Can barely get anyone to even pick up the phone. I guess that's a good thing for the industry but it's maddening watching my electricity bills skyrocket when I have the solution in my bank account.
Has anyone else had a solar install recently who could recommend someone?

Price of radiators and stuff now you'd never be able to do that. For example, I used a coil of 25m coated 10mm on a job the other day it was £120.
Full heatings aren't cheap now.

Theres a lot of variables, what size are the rads, is it a full new system with new pipes?
Id say its probs about right but its hard to guess until you know variables.

Boiler was June 2020, rads etc 6 months later - has it shifted that much?
-
• #52344
Boiler prices are there or there about but radiators are stupid expensive for decent stuff now and thats before your even trying to make a wee bit of mark up on it too.

Have you tried: https://www.gb-sol.co.uk/products/pvslates/default.htm
Not had work done but they were very efficient when I spoke to them last year sometime. -

Not got anyone to recommend as obviously I am miles away from you.
But I rang probably 20 companies down here, and managed to get 2 to respond. Thankfully 1 of them was decent.
We are having 16 360wp panels installed, with a 5kw inverter and a 10kwh battery. We are using Solar-edge kit for inverter, battery, monitoring and also the ability to automatically heat water via immersion.
All of the above is being installed for just under £15k (should be less now, with less VAT)
Any reason you have pre-decided on Tesla batteries? We went through them and decided that there was not a huge benefit for the price of Tesla batteries over other decent brands.

I figured that much!

Integration w/ Tesla car but mainly the ability to be off grid in the event of brown outs. Tin foil hat time but I think we'll see increased power grid failures in the next decade and no other battery (that I'm aware of) can put out enough peak and continuous power to power our house should the electricity shut off.

Ah fair enough. I have a diesel generator for that, not that I fancy running it currently!
No way would batteries run our house for long now!
Put her back!!
