my building's management company had some fitted the other week and 99% sure didn't sort PP. Was booked before I moved in but I do wonder if they needed it.

I remember a case in Brighton where someone had to dismantle their new shed for lack of permission.

And I’m Leicester where the council ask the homeowner to remove it because it didn’t fit in well with the Victorian street (despite having cars parking)

I think each London borough can be a law unto itself with regard to stuff like that. Probably partly depends on your neighbours and their likelihood to kick up a fuss as well.

Islington will have a planning portal somewhere on their website where you can see planning applications past and present.

Have a look round your neighbourhood and see who has bike sheds and then have a look to see if they got permission for them.

The best thing about this advertisement is that you can't hear the A406 or taste the diesel.

The a407 is busy enough but luckily it's got good double glazing. The a406 is like walking next to a jet engine, can't even hear yourself think.

Yeah that too. All custom metalwork and installation though isn’t it? Low volume sales as well. At the time we we keen as we thought it would be a good way to keep our cargobike safe and easier to get it in and out but in the end we got comfortable keeping it outside and got better at getting it through the gate.

I haven't, and I suspect you may know this already, but just in case I would like to comment that underpinning cost may well be driven by complexity of the situation (which will be unique) and the resulting sequence of works. So be wary of putting too much reliance on someone else's cost, as your situation might be similar, or it might be vastly different.
