  • Yeah seems good value, it's mostly not copy paste work

  • Drop Stephen Brooks a line. He is the architect I used for my renovations and be has a building engineer I used that calculated the steel beams for my knock through. It was part of a bigger project so there were economies of scale at play but I suspect you might be able to shave a little bit of money off the quote you have at the moment.

  • not unreasonnable

  • Thanks. I guess like most insurance companies they're great, until you have to make a claim.
They were really good at the start in terms of customer service. But obviously now they've killed any loyalty I had so fuck 'em.

I still haven't looked into options yet.

  • Thanks again. I'll add it to the list.

  • Pedalcover were taken over by Yellow Jersey

That makes this sentence a bit of a piss take then...
"Our colleagues at Yellow Jersey are able to offer a standalone bike only policy to cover your bikes and we have arranged the following discount code for you, here is a line to their user friendly website http://www.yellowjersey.co.uk. "

  • North of £600k to actually buy given the Scottish system?

  • Everything in that house is the same hue. Kitchen worktops, sideboards, cupboards, windows, doors, even the guitars on the walls. Really strange.

    Nice otherwise.

  • Thats because most of the furniture is the same finish from Ikea.
Not that that necessarily a bad thing.

I like the sunken garage, which gives the family room more height.

  • The Scottish system is one that I find hard to like, tbh.

"Make a guess, then either miss out of live the rest of your life thinking you over-paid".

  • Yeah - it’s just odd. Just feels really oppressive.

  • The B709 South of there down through Eskdalemuir is one of my favourite cycling roads in the UK.

(It's usually on the London-Edinburgh-London route.)

  • We were in Peebles for a wedding this summer and it was lovely. Amazing riding, both road and off and great wild swimming too.

  • Not unreasonable.

I paid £600 for similar in Norfolk so £850 seems fair enough.

  • love the frosted glass..............

  • It's just kitted out really poorly inside. My money would be on it being some kind of holiday home or rented out. The clue being the ubiquity of cheap flat pack and entirely free standing storage and the cheap, shit leather sofa.

Could be amazing in the hands of someone who knows / cares a bit about interior design.

  • The fixer upper would be the one I’d go for

  • Decent price but can give you the details of the guy who’s done our work if useful

  • 100%. The house itself looks lovely but it looks like a cheap rental flat inside.

You might be right. I would say holiday home as they’ve got an office. Strangely impersonal though. No photos anywhere.

  • entirely free standing storage

Isn't ripping out the 1990s built-in wardrobes the first thing people do when they move in to a house that has them?

It does look like they found themselves with a lot of house to furnish and didn't want to spend too much time or money on it. There are lots of sound reasons for that.

  • What do you think it will sell for?

  • Yeah, that would be great. Thanks

  • 915-925

That estate agent will go to best and final to push prices up.
