Looking really good.
Where did the cupboard units come from, and are you just following YT videos? Or have you done it before?

I’m the YouTube king!
You have to watch about 5 different methods and then work out what the right thing is for you. Its rare that one video has all the answers. -

You missed an opportunity to create a "DYI with Dov" monetised channel.

Grey windows are becoming so common now, new build housing estate are full of them. We nearly pulled the trigger on some last year, glad we stuck with white now. Although to have a custom RAL colour wasnt crazy expensive.

I don't see why not - I suppose the tricky thing would be getting a good seal on the floor. concrete?
-
• #42135
Yep. Seems they come with a tube of adhesive so just make sure there's a consistent bead?
-

We looked at these guys for tiles think it was £120 a sq metre. Think they have their own quarry in turkey. We were going to use in our kitchen but went for cork! In the end as price wise would have got crazy. They are on stoke newington high st.

As mentioned before, decision fatigue is one of the worst parts of a refurb/building project. However much you've planned beforehand there's so much to decide, usually on the spot and it can grind you down. Hard not to make a quick decision you later regret IME.
Fantastic job so far Dov!

Yeah, I thought I had everything planned out for our restoration, loads of spreadsheets etc. but there were still millions of decisions to make on the fly which could never be planned for.
"Do you want us to move this stone? if we don't we can't fit the agreed upon window, if we do the wall might fall down, and can you tell us right now, as Gary here is holding the stone in with his hand, and he is due a cup of tea"

oh awesome... I need to give those folks a call actually, is that with VAT? Diespeker are around £100 per sqm sans vat.

Gray in most folks house is common now, but it’s all folk who think they are super stylish
-
• #42141
As far as I remember it was inc VAT but this was about 2 years ago. Didn’t get into moq or anything beyond that.

Classic Gary.
-
• #42144
Ha! To be fair Gary was an actual carpenter who worked on our build, always had a fag and a cup of tea, and happened to be a champion fisherman.

Cheers bro!
Just spoke to the second one... really nice chap, same factory as Diespeker but they hold less stock. Slightly cheaper material wise but more expensive delivery due to stock.
Should have planned this one better and used them!
The first ones sites visual language tells me enough to know I can't afford it. -

Big boy stuff only. Oh well.

Re balcony on a roof extension. I saw this over looking Lloyd park earlier and like it. Not massive outdoor space but prob enough for a chair for that beer.
Also where the window is for bathroom opens up another bit of wall to work with smaller space.

Freddy Mercury had a son???
Some of it is absolutely lovely (like the pic you linked).
But I can't help but feel that all the grey and the extra* exposed brickwork already looks dated.
*i.e. not the extension/ground.
