Probably not, but if it's a free replacement and free installation it's probably worth having.
When we used to go out more (before child) it was quite good to put the heating on before you got home. And now it's good so you wake up in a warm room.
But we're definitely not getting the full functionality from it.

Was Nest installed with the boiler when it was new? Otherwise I'd have thought you should be able to remove it and go back to manual control as Howard suggested.
How to should be the opposite of the Nest installation procedure.

We're in. All barring one of the two cats, that fucked off at the worst time. In touch with our buyer who is being great about the situation, they're not moved in yet.
Will be calling @Señor_Bear's electrician tomorrow about the consumer unit and possible (very likely) rewire.

what boiler is it? You can disconnect the nest and put a plug on it and itll be on 24hrs a day but that'll get you buy. Although you might need to disconnect it in the boiler and stick a bit of 3 core in if they have used 5 core to wire the nest.

Good work @stevo_com

It would be, except for the whole "needing to live inside" lark. Plus stripping everything that stinks of fegs. Not doing ms_com's asthma any good. New washing machine and drier arriving tomorrow so will run the only remaining curtains through then. Currently pulling up the manky underlay and the carpet grippers of death from the hall stairs and landing.

This is the first forum bathroom refurb photo that really makes me want to do mine. what bath is it and what material? I've got an old enamelled bath which is fine but a bit grubby and 1 small chip. The problem is I hate chucking stuff out and bathroom refurb will inevitably mean that.

Big old boah what size is that?

Bath is 1800x800.
@tbc I can imagine this is a real pain.
Do you feel you're getting enough out of the smart device to warrant putting it back? Genuine question. I have a wireless thermostat and timer control and that's as much technical as I feel I need in a heating system. I feel there's less to go wrong (although that may be incorrect).
I'd second what @Howard says, the boiler may well be programmable/ controllable on the unit itself.
