Satire can be tiring

Very good typo.

Are there any BS3621 insurance approved digital locks for domestic premises?
-
• #38580
Impressed that autocorrect managed that given the context. Will keep it.
-
• #38581
AutoCorrect creates satire more often than not. :)

A quick google says no. But as I said I don't know a thing about these!

Amey secures his house using picture of his lino floor. Thieves see it and think "why bother, I'll go next door"

Thieves broke into my bike shed with bolt cutters and took nothing. Was simultaneously relieved and insulted.

Has anyone here bought a house at auction before? I feel like I'm entering a minefield here

Property mortgageable? Type of auction? Mortgage or bridging loan? My purchase isn't through auction, but the property isn't mortgageable because of location of bath, so having to get bridging loan so costing me nearly 6k in interest for something that would cost 2k to rectify...
Check all the extra fees as well. -
• #38591
Are you able to give any more information on this? I'm intrigued.
...but the property isn't mortgageable because of location of bath

pics pls
I'm expecting it to be in the middle kitchen with the consumer unit directly underneath it and wires trailing everywhere.

in the middle kitchen
We just use the upper kitchen. The middle kitchen is for caterers.

Toilet moved 'inside' 30 years ago, but they didn't feel the need to add the extra 800mm to width of WC to accommodate a bath/shower. So just stuck it in a single skin polycarbonate roof lean-to on the ground floor next to the kitchen.

Ha, not quite that bad. Basically in the back alley that each house in terrace as walled off and roofed into an extra room.

oooof

Pretty sure the property is mortgageable, I'm just checking with our existing mortgage provider now. But we still may need a bridging loan as our current house may not be completed by the date of the auction.
The thought of bidding for a house on an online auction is giving me the heebies though

this is actually very true! You should see the state of our front (facade?) @6pt has, its barren with weeds coming out of block paving, you can never tell from the outside that are are vertically compliant yet laterally stiff (with short wheelbase) bikes worth £xx k inside!
The only thing you can see from the outside is my 2nd hand 32" samsung tv and a printer.
I genuinely thought I was quite clever having struck a balance of my laziness and security.

You have two bins though, a sure sign of affluence.
-

i have 3 now (garden bin), one is exclusively used to sell bike parts contactless.
Emptied our flat yesterday. Fuck me that’s a job and a half. Two Luton vans and six hours later it’s off to storage.
Supposed to feel sentimental but just wanted to burn it all down after climbing the four flights of satires for what felt like the fifty millionth time that day.
