  • And I bought a new hob on Friday.

  • Hmmm we do need a new fridge. Kinda.

  • The place im buying is included with everything except fridge freezer....Thanks!

  • I haven't owned a microwave since I left my ex-wife almost fifteen years ago...

Bought one today, aren't they terrific? I'm talking about microwaves...

We completed a year ago today, time flies, eh? Still got two almost unusable rooms full of boxes... I need to get the carport turned into a garage, pronto...

  • PS Our neighbour still hasn't fixed our fucking fence... My dearly beloved has started communicating with Mrs Neighbour, sounds like the poor woman is living in hell... Terrible communicator, awful DIY obsessive, grumpy as fuck... New fence was supposed to go in today, I sent him a message saying I expected the fence to look exactly the same as it did before he took it down to build his new garage and the fence guy was suddenly cancelled... I'm ready to punch this twat in the fucking nuts...

  • Did he ask to take it down prior to said garage building?!

  • aren't they terrific?

In fairness, I think my ex-wife is alright too.

Obvs, no way as good as a microwave, but that's a high hurdle.

What's going to do your nut, though, is that unless your microwave is a Panasonic (or some models of LG), the the different power settings are just cycles of full power and no power (rather than less power).

I'm ditching our cheapy poppety ping box for a Panasonic with a proper inverter.

  • Any recommendations for a plumber/bathroom fitter for North/Central London? (Euston area)

Also, any rough suggestions on cost (excluding bathroom suite, tiles, etc)? Needs gutting, some pipework shifting around and tidying up, tiling, bath, shower cubicle, etc installed.

    Cheers

  • Also, amidst this microwave chat, anyone want one for free (collect from Harringay). Works fine but decided it's too big for the kitchen.

  • Try plumb handy - 07584 091499?

  • Of course, I also made sure to ask him to put it back exactly as it was after he was done... That was over six months ago... I even got his builders to send me their insurance company details just in case anything went wrong...

But you can never prepare for your neighbour being a complete cunt... The amount of rows it's caused in this house is ridiculous, just because my missus doesn't want any trouble and the whole time this guy is just kicking back ignoring my texts, emails, etc... He will put it right and he'll pay for the whole thing, his missus is on his case now... Probably the only way to get through to him... Wanker...

  • It's an LG with an inverter, it's terrific...

My ex is also terrific, or she was until a 'mate' told her I was having a love affair with a colleague and that was the reason I left her... It was a massive fucking lie, she turned against me and he moved in on her a few months later... Terrific... She dumped him a couple of years later...

  • ha! jokes on her - you are incapable of love!

  • Uh - he loves his microwave, doesn't he?

  • That excavated quickly.

  • Yay for inverters.

Nay for manipulative cuntbags and people that believe what they want to hear.

  • There's no curry like a reheated in the microwave curry... Been a long time...

  • wtf is an inverter?

also: cold curry knocks nuked curry into a cocked hat, all day every day.

  • Just checked my texts, I first asked this clown to put the fence back up in January... He took it down just before Christmas, the garage was up in a week... He threw away the bits of fence he took down, how do you take that?

  • Science...

    Both are good...

  • I had quotes from about 2k to 6k and time frames from 1 week to 3, so its pretty variable....

  • £2k seems cheap?

  • What's going to do your nut, though, is that unless your microwave is a Panasonic (or some models of LG), the the different power settings are just cycles of full power and no power (rather than less power).

  • Ooh my old Panasonic had ‘CHAOS DEFROST’, which is apparently a genuine application of chaos theory to more evenly defrost food.
