  • We keep them as pets here...

  • It's called a SHARK. a chuffing SHARK!

The cat nearly shat her own face off when we sparked it up for the first time. Sounds like an army of hornets with chainsaws.

  • My Dyson (DC08) is still going strong after 15+ years. Not having any pets helps. Have never bothered with getting it serviced, plenty of videos exist for cleaning the filters/etc.

Obviously, with Dyson revealing himself as a massive Brexit twat, it will not be replaced by another Dyson should it fail.

Don't need a cordless, if I plug it in near the hall I can reach everywhere in this 3 bed flat without having to plug it in elsewhere. Mains power sucks a fuck load harder than a battery.

    #stairsenvy

  • Nice i want one now. Army of hornets with chainsaws at least it sounds like its doing a good job.

    #allmyworkinglife

  • Yeah it's still not going to go toe to toe with a mains powered beast, but ain't nobody got time for that.

    Get involved.

  • Can it do a full house in one go?

  • By "it" I mean the hoover. Not youre mum.

  • I got a (mains) SHARK upright after recommendation in here. It's got some horsepower; the carpet brush mode drags you along with it, leaving lawn stripes in in it's wake.

Poor old Henry has been relegated to dust collection duties in my workshop

  • Fucking hell, all this vacuum chat makes me want to sell my flat and go live in the woods.

  • shat her own face off

    Saved for later use

  • Leaf blowers then?

  • You get about a good 30 mins on the default setting.

/My mum, no idea about the vac.

// My mum's in hospital today, so thoughts and prayers, folks.

  • Does the bag manage to hold a full house worth or does it need emptying midway?
    #askingformycleaner
    Again. It. Etc.

    (Get well soon hellmum)

  • No bag as such, but for a handheld it seems pretty roomy. you may need to empty your mucksack halfway through to make way depending on the level of filth you feel like sucking up.

Feel free to pop round and give it a push, just knock, I'll let you in the backdoor.

    Etc.

  • Finally got confirmation of our lease extension back from the land registry. 170 years left now.

  • I got the missus the Bosch Athlet a couple of Christmasses ago. It’s good for a quick run round but no match for a proper mains vac (1600W Miele). That Shark looks great though, does it detach and become a handy vac for the car?

  • it does! the ability to vac plant matter out of the back of the 'brover is a deal breaker.

  • Can it clean blood and, let's call it offal, for the sake of argument, as well?

    Asking for a friend.

  • it ain't called a shark for nowt.

  • Bloody council have rejected our extension application, we’re literally the only house left on our street that hasn't been extended.
Miserable bastards rejected with no explanation, architect is furious because it's all within regulations and he thinks they've misread the plans.
Our plans of getting it done by the end of summer is rapidly disappearing

  • Old post but yeah did. Plaster board wall?

  • Take it to appeal.
Once a president is been set on.the street and it's with building regs they have no grounds to reject it.
    Unless they find.some other bullshit.
My uncle was told his as a corner house will look too bulky. Wankers.

  • president based dad jokes incoming in 3... 2...

  • It's all being dealt with by the architect, they’re re submitting this week I think. He reckons they have an issue with the butterfly style roof casting shadow on the neighbours. How exactly they think a north facing single storey that doesn't get sun until 6 pm will blot out the sun, I'm not sure...
