Ask. There may be a good reason why - lots of time wasters, etc.
You've used him before so asking to waive the fee for repeat business is not an onerous request.

BRM recommended the chap who is working on my place, he turned up, looked round, spent some time discussing things - no suggestion whatsoever that I had to pay for his time, and he'd driven over from Dartford on the weekend.
The work we planned was ~£15,000, it's going to finish at (estimate!) £22,500 I reckon, but that's entirely down to scope-creep/a desire to finish absolutely everything.
Do I mind? No, not at all. Would I have fucked him off if he'd tried to get £80 out of me for his attendance that first time? Yep.

I wonder who in what circumstances says 'yeah sure that £80 was a dead weight anyway'

It is, are you putting in the kitchen yourself?
Plumbing no. As gas/water will need moving. But units and stuff probably will do. I did current kitchen. When I say I, I mean my mam's husband did.

Probably someone spending someone else’s money wouldn’t complain too much - management companies etc.

Freeholder demands it :-/

Management agents- are they all useless cunts? Close to legal action against mine.
Anyone have any positive recommendations for one?
-
• #21789

Argh. Cheers guys.

What have they done / not done out of interest?
-

They have started rewriting the communal lights, 2 months ago, and we’ve been in the dark ever since, both literally and comms wise and no workmen have been on site.

Amazing. Good luck getting a delivery.

I know, good ey? There is actually one working light switch from the ground floor but that’s on a timer that runs out by the time you are on the second floor. And there are no lights when you start from other floors. I’m genuinely concerned we (as share of freeholders) would be liable if someone is injured (well, our company).

Managing agent reports to the company - need to get the company directors on their case?
-
• #21797
That’ll be me and I’ve been getting no response. Calling the cunt from Mexico to tell him to buck the fuck up. Also all the emails.

• #21798
Normally if you start throwing words like health, safety and injury about people get scared and do something about it.
-
• #21799
I think I did that in email number 4? On to number 7 or 8 now...

Tell they're sacked and you're getting new agents. They're not all useless. Just the vast majority.
