Whilst I do sort-of agree with this, it's obviously not that straight forward. People want and need to live and work in London, and if you are priced out of one area you have to look elsewhere. People have different needs from an area, and those needs change. There wasn't much to do in Brockley when I moved here. Now there are lots of nice bars and fancy cafes, but I rarely use them as I work and we have two kids. Balls.

It's even worse in Penge.

I also like the "real community, not an estate agent generated community" about Bethnal Green.
The only thing I think of about Bethnal Green is late night boxing on BBC1.
