They bend too much under the weight of an adult.
Or so I'm told.

-
• #10236
oh and that property with the shower off the side of the armchair in the living room...i spotted that too but can see the disabled badge out the front. so we've basically be laughing at someone disabled....
-
• #10237
@spindrift, that 400k house in E11 was absolute shyte. its like 760sq ft as well. so tiny
-
• #10238
Oh come on! It was obviously for a disabled person, the intent behind the jokes wasn't anything mean-spirited.
-
• #10239
lol i laughed at it when i saw it for the first time and only realised after!

Hehe.
Aaaaaanyway... Anyone here dealt with bamboo flooring? I really like the look of it and based on my limited experience with hipster chopping boards, it seems hard as fuck.
Either that or engineered light oak.

My hipster bamboo chopping board has warped in the dishwasher.
If you do get bamboo flooring I would advise against putting it in the dishwasher.

I'll panda bear that in mind...

There are also some exotic pets that would be ruled out by this choice.

• #10244
He's got a point there, would hate for next doors panda to rip out the patio doors because he fancies a snack on your new floors.
-
• #10245
Yes. Looks good. Very hard wearing - survived pretty much unscathed through 8 years of children through toddler years / birthday parties etc. Had engineered bamboo over underfloor heating and all stayed tight and warm (#kennethwilliams).
Highly recommend.

• #10246
What about the pandas, any attempted snack related break ins?

Bamboo it is then. Its only £20 ish per square meter so the whole flat should cost... about £20.
-
• #10249
pictures of what it would look like?
Hope not like that horrible light coloured fake wood lenoleum shit...

None that I am aware of, though we kept fresh bamboo in the garden as a deterrent.
We did have a Coati in one day:
It was a vicious bastard, and terrorised a group of 7 year olds, but didn't eat any of the floor. Fun times.
