Nah, mate! If you like it you like it. When someone's made something or written something it means a fuck of a lot when it is appreciated. It's not a suck off or anything. There's things I've loved and I've gushed over it unashamedly.
Cheers for letting me know, Leon.
Now this cunt is as he was. -

I've had a bit of writer's block, but I seem to have shifted it.
Hope you like. -
• #2632
You've definitely shifted it. Like a recalcitrant shit.
Excellent work, perfect for a day like today.

"Like a recalcitrant shit."
I like that.

Feel free to use it in perpetuity, royalty free.

Fucking hell. That's resonant.
The "red hair" linking to the red rock of Uluru. Awesome.

Deep. Nice.

Thanks gents. Feels good to have written something again.
Hoping to start on a much larger project soon, but I'll keep on with this stuff too.
-
• #2638
Wow. Nice work. Again.
-
• #2639
Ooooof, that hits quite hard being a consumerist pig myself.
-
• #2640
We're all magpies in our own way, buddy. It's when people do it mindlessly, like they're doing today, that's when it scares me.
-
• #2641
That's your best yet in my opinion Luci, enjoying your more serious stuff even more than the funnies - great work!
-
• #2642
Top Work Luci,
As above - loving the more serious stuff but don't you dare stop writing about knobs and all that..(Just Sydney for Sidney and Truman for Trueman)
-
• #2643
Oops! I'll get on those, buddy.
Cheers for the feedback, everyone. I lost my Mojo for a week or three and it did my head in. As I said, just feels nice to have broken my duck!

Strong stuff.
Something about the line ' the soft vibrations of film on a spool that digital killed and made history commonplace, memories mundane.' doesn't quite work, like you're saying the film spool made history commonplace. Maybe it should be ', making' in place of 'and made'?
Did you hear this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04prbfc ? The contrast with your stuff is interesting, the way it needs to find the darkest of subjects make the grit blast through the flowery language, while you can nail the soul-crushing awfulness of more mundane things.

really enjoyed that.

• #2646
Damn good point - took me a couple of reads to realise that. I suppose I had the idea in my head and it kind of scrambled up on the page. Thanks, Moth!
I'll have a listen to that link later, I love stuff like that.
Cheers! -

Big time mate, a very apt day for this story! I'm away to share it on FB for the Scottish contingent.
