My brother said you looked very fast, Matt. And he also mentioned Downing's overgearing, adding that it looked like his eyes were about to pop out of his head!

Some more eye popping. Excuse the poor camera technique. I also seem to have missed most of the forum people.

That will be him. He asked me, "Does my bum look big in this?"

if that's smyth in your picture jay, he doesn't need to worry about his bum or his burners but the larry grayson-esque pose your camera has captured him in.
that was excellent. some faces that, to paraphrase Pascal "should stay in the bedroom and be seen by those intimate with the rider".
great weather.edit: well done to everyone involved.

Was a great day of spectating... despite my crash (I feel like a tit), but was pleased with my time considering. 3.24 with probably a minute of down time. If anyone caught it on film or has a photo please post it. I'd love to better understand what happened. All I know is there was wheelspin and wheelies involved.
Shame more people didn't hang round for a little longer after the finish, we found a lovely beer garden in Oxted and I'm now pleasantly pissed.
Well done Matt and Tom.

well done Matt top result especially with all the fulltime pro's in the start list.

Yes, well done Matt!
I see that Germain Burton, the 15 year old who finished 2nd in the Rolla Hill Climb, won the Bec. Jeez, he must be some talent.
Saying that, at 15 he probably hasn't discovered birds or booze yet. Even I at 15 was a world beater, I hereby blame the Stanhope Arms, Brasted.

Yeah Matt, what you've got to do is go uphill as fast as you can…

Did you have a crack at it today Brave?

Alex/ah1976 I think I spotted you in LMNH this afternoon? But you were across a sea of people watching cake being made so I couldn't say hai.
Yeah, I thought I saw you - then confirmed when I spotted your Neil Orrell locked up on my way out; I was only there fairy fleetingly, to get some cake before heading home. Did you make it to the hill climb in the end?

jamie you loook like you are not giving it your all!
also a good-stuff to anyone that did it! i actually don't think riding up it was the hard part, it was the waiting beforehand (the week, night and mornign before!!) that was the worse part.
