Impress them with http://www.oldvictheatre.com/whatson.php?id=55
Good show, not a musical though. -

"We Will Rock You" was pretty cheesy but good and I'm not a Queen fan.
-
• #104
good free one is to take them up parliament hill in hampsted
-

I thought St Pauls was free - well it is if you go in for evensong (5 every day). Worth doing.

nice view from primrose hill, always a winner.

Right that's day one done! They're in the land of nod already.... excellent. Must be time to bust open the twisties and start swigging the rum, no?
Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
Anyone been to avenue Q? Think I've got choices down to that, wicked or oliver... anything else and I think there might be too much singing. -
• #108
dont bother with avenue q - really, dont bother.
its embarassingly weak. -
• #109
Oh well, I enjoyed it.. but it was free.. free stuff is hard not to see good in..
-

Seems wicked it is then.
I will just have to make sure I have some kind of liquid dinner before sitting down to 3 hours of song and dance. Oh the joy of it all. -

The City of London and Canary Wharf are two completely different places, albeit both with a megabucks financial tip.

Evans (Spitalfields)I'm not sure my folks wanna go to every evans in london. They're pretty shite at the best of times (though I stop in frequently at the one on the cut to pump up me little wheels).
This lovely eve they came to the pub with me for a lovely meal with my local mates/ex/current flatties.... bliss for me, but I dare say they didn't like meeting 10 strangers with a generation gap in between. I sent 'em home at half 9 and drank on til now. Its not so bad. Good grub at the white horse too. -

Just about at the end of my teather... I don't want to get arsey with my folks - I want us to have a nice time, but my god this is hard work and saturday can't come quick enough. They're even getting arsey at each other.
Off to the sofa (again) for me. Night all. Enjoy your beds. -

That, right there, is a very good TV sitcom.

Is it to late to take them to the Woolwich foot tunnel?

@ edscoble - THREE months.... that is mental. Who agreed to that?
5 days with a 3 week break and a few days tagged on at the end is far more than i can manage. I'm surprised you're 1) still with girlfriend, 2) not 6ft under.
I had to go to Oliver the musical last night. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, but man I can think of far better things to spend £30 on. Beer for one. -
• #122
the problem is here, that her father paid for some of her rent, thereforth the flat is 'his', thus they can come and go as they pleased, the flat is what best described as a studio with an extra bedroom, that's how small it is.
my missus longed for proper independent, even if she live thousand of miles away from the Darkest Peru.

Katie - send them to the Effra tonight, there'll be a few of us off here in there. They could donate £30 each for our beer.

Oliver isn't so bad. on telly. without Oliver Reed as Bill Sykes, I can't see it being much cop.

I've just got back from beers for lunch... needed it for my sanity and the boss has gone to belgrade? This eve I'm drinking, having dinner with the folks, sending them home, going back to work at 10pm for a shitting time point, drinking more THEN hopefully I'll get myself home before they leave at 7am. THen I'm climbing into my OWN bed to zzzz away the day.
My job is done - at least for the next 3 weeks. Effra you say...... mmmm. I think I could go back to the pub and no one round here would notice - good or bad thing?
Thanks dmczone - printed and going to be delivered shortly. Well done my friend.
