I really am suprised people see what I am saying as not just wrong but 'weird'. God. Its not like this is a coporate board for senior executives to discuss their favourites restaurants. Its about people with a passion for cycling, I am really suprised how conservative this place is.
Are you mad? Do you know how many multinationals are paying for the computers and internet connections and time to post on this stupid forum?

Maybe not but possibly lost in translation though eh?
Am I hard to read? Perhaps I should take more time with my posts. I take your point (even if you are taking the piss)
-

No I wasn't taking the piss (surprisingly) - it was just an observation.

I used to live by Principles. Cant say I rated it.
I used to live there.

Have none of you ever read marxist or even socialist literature? What I am describing is not unique.
you don't help your 'cause' by being such a patronising little fucker

I used to live near a Dorothy Perkins. They sold clothes and shit.

@BDW
Oooooooh. Just below the kidney. Even I felt that.

Needlessly offensive. I don't see myself as patronising, however if I come across that way to you, I will try to change.

But Wayne, we could be actually a bit bored instead.
Lets just say that Paul-Michel/Furtwangler/Knoydart(??), banishes our boredom,
and replaces it with guffawing, or the need for Pepto-Bismol.Pepto-Bismol is great!

Every sperm that has fertilised an egg, did so by beating other sperms in a race.
Poignant.

Disappointed though...

I called you a weirdo not your thoughts.
Not agreeing with your view that the "rich" - a subjective term - should be killed does not make any of us reactionary. Not subscribing to your fantasy ideals does not make any of us conservative.
Now. Back in your box weirdo.

I suspect that Pol Pot was like Knogdate when he was a lad. Sadly, no one pointed out the error of his ways and look what became of him (not to mention the million Cambodians who he had slaughtered).
...and yes, Weirdo, most us us have read Marx. In the 1970s, every university course, just about, required it.

You've hit the nail on the head right there.
When I read your posts I'm reminded of a part of Ricky Gervais' Politics...
"You know the sort...a Che Guevara poster on the wall...a beret...
...the sort of people I like to call 'c*nts'..."
It strikes me that you're striving for a Wind Up Merchant Award and it looks like you're about to go platinum.

Knoydart, your postulation explains the rich-poor variance of economic equation in a very strange way.
Would it not also be true, that to be poor, first someone else must be rich?
Those more clever than me, avoided this simple analogy, because it was just too simple.

when i was a kid, i used to have a tshirt. it said, "why should i tidy my room when the world's such a mess?"
now i'm an adult, my house is still a mess (mostly covered by bicyle bits).

Actually did a proper lol at this. Jesus that's not right.

Back in your box weirdo.
Clive, personally, I find Paul-Michel/Furtwangler/Knoydart(??) very very funny.
Though his writings annoy some, they do amuse others. Can't he just be stuck on "ignore" by his detractors?
I don't agree with many of his views, but I think its not right for people to always slap him down for having them.
He's born to be contentious and contrary. He makes me laugh on here when others don't. I'm not defending him; only his right not to go back to his box.

Anyway, another ban cannot be far off, if the past is any guide. Which to me, is a shame.
-
• #348
to date he has done nothing outrageous and in no way deserves to be banned
as i have stated before i don't think he is a genuine troll, but is a contentious idiot
as such a subtle distinction
he may settle down or just be put on to ignore by lots of people

He could be amusing but some of his views go way over the mark. His politics are straight out of Pol Pot. I find them very offensive. Ignorant and offensive. He is either a weirdo (giving him the benefit of the doubt) or evil. I will go with the former. I could ignore him but I find what he says sufficiently perturbing to justify responding.
There have been a number of good side discussions and debates on this thread to make it worthwhile.
