Just ordered some winter longs with integrated merino sleeveless top, and a merino jersey with windproof microfleece front.
Fingers crossed it'll be as good as it looks.

had my embers gillet a few days now. nice, but they need a backing bit behind the zip so the draft doesn't come through, also it helps stop the zipper rubbing on your neck at the top.

I've been wearing my Chocolate Fish base layer for a week now, no washing, in the pissing rain and then drying it and wearing again, just to see if I can make it stink, shrivel and die. It hasn't. It's also very warm. I'm very impressed with this sheepy goodness.

let us know how you get along with it. been looking at the dhb merino but not got anything
talking about merino wool or just wool in general, i found these socks that look like they really do the job.
socks
Liner
from what i can gather, keeping your feet warm you need a liner, be it silk or whatever. the brasher seems a well thought out piece of kit.
