I own an Icebreaker shirt with a t-neck and zipper, I don't think I'd be able to get my head through without opening the zipper though

That is the model (brand I should say) I had zippers removed from, was no problem, the wool stretches as well as cotton does which is widely available in T necks.

What is a T neck?

Ordered a couple of Koster Tees from Shackleton at their 50% off sale, decent price for made in UK stuff - 100% Merino, raglan sleeves, we'll see how they hold up.

Everything merino down 25% this sunday at Dilling.

I like my Choc Fish merino undershirts but is there a decent lighter weight/thinner merino undershirt out there? I'm debating the choice of a synth undershirt versus something that won't stink after a day for multi-day events.

Do they do a 'short sleeve' that actually has sleeves?

I recently received a couple from Shackleton, at 50% off, really comfy and very light, just hope they last.

Isadore do a few different weights of merino base layer, thick to fetish-wear fishnet style. Never used them but I have a merino jersey from them and it's pretty decent.

Isadore is good. I use my sleeveless ones all the way to 30deg ... Until proper summer kicks in, when you peel it a off and even a super thin summer jersey is nearly too much.

Also good if you're in Australia: Io merino. softest stuff I've worn so far!

These guys on German eBay sell really good merino hats for low prices:

Just the basic / classic styles & colours as you can see, but quality is really solid. -

Can report that the Shackleton ss have held up and are the best ever, and nowadays, also the most expensive ever :(
Just ordered a couple Howie's lightweight ls on sale so it's late to ask, but any opinons on them? -

I have had Howies stuff for years. Excellent stuff.
Sadly the moths in my house also love them, so my 10 yr old merino stuff has been munched.
I haven't had any modern stuff due to the moths

Thanks - I've been lucky as far as moths go, though I use my stuff year round so it's rotated and washed fairly regularly.

+1 here also
Got a mixture of light and heavier ls and ss in a sample sale a few years ago. All going strong I think - apart from one that has a few moth holes (which I still wear to layer under stuff because I’m a tight so-and-so).
I also own icebreaker oasis tops and they compare pretty well (fit is a little different, but still ok on me and my proper dad bod). Caveat obviously that these were samples though.
Anyone know of a merino underlayer in a t-neck style that doesn't have a zipper? In the past I've had ones with and had them removed, but it's a pain and expensive.
