Are you going to get it to piss off your neighbours?

Those SP10's are seriously good turntables

It will go for astronomical money.

Rega RP2. Yay or nay?
-

Yay.

Just need to figure out where to put it in our comically small living room.
-
• #3834
wall mounted shelf is ideal if that is an option.
-
• #3835
Good idea! That's totally doable and I could do with more shelves as it is.

I bought a revo last summer. Very nice warm sound. Only just bothered to notice that I can play internet radio and stuff on it, was just using DAB. I guess I could play stuff off my puter but i don't really bother with that digital music business.

So my 602 S3s are definitely too big for our new place... Not so much physically but sonically and I wont be allowed to put them on stands.
I think smaller bookshelfs on mini stands and maybe a rug will be better.
Or maybe I should just get a rug and see if that improves things slightly.
If anyone here has anything smaller and of similar quality that they are tempted to swap, give me a shout.

Nay, Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. Better build quality and slightly smaller.
-
• #3839
I've heard Regas are better built....

I've got a Rega 3 and a RP3-24, both built like a tank, don't sound like one!
If you're interested I really should sell the Rega 3 (with 24v motor upgrade) as it's currently not being used and deserves a loving home...

Maybe I am getting my model numbers mixed up, I looked at the Rega (P1 maybe?) and the Debut carbon side by side and although I wanted the Rega the Carbon was a better turntable.

Yeah that sounds about right. Been looking at vintage stuff as well - technics 1300s go for reasonable amounts but I prefer the minimal stuff from Rega/Pro-Ject/Uturn.
Was looking at beograms until I found out they take some weirdo cartridge that costs all the money.

My Beogram was bust more than it was fixed. It was beautiful but didn't work reliable (lift and return)...
Project were physically slightly smaller and their PSU was pluggable (into the turntable) which for me made it. the idea choice (as I run my babies through a whole in a cabinet). -

Thorens td203 is worth a look too. The ability to change speeds with a switch was a big plus for me, as was the size.

Looks gorge but $$$...
I'm trying to keep it under £400. Whole bunch of nice auto, direct drive Sonys from the 80s floating around as well.
It's gonna come down to Pro-Ject or Rega, really.

I paid 399 quid, brand new in the box on ebay. . . Gloss black.
So its worth looking out for them on there. :) -

Hive mind... most wireless speakers available for macOS and W10 dual booter. Bookshelf style. Apropos surround sound (You ought to have a basic grasp of Latin if you're working in Currys).

Gotta love a bit of Partridge! :)
