I was at the Bike Polo World Championships in Philadelphia earlier this month and, regardless of whether it's better or worse than any other spectacular cycling event, the standard of play in the final games was pretty convincing that bike polo can become a 'spectator' sport.

Yes, of course it can. In fact, I'd say it already is. Lots of people enjoy watching it, and we can only hope that it won't attract an associated betting industry, big money stars, corruption, lies, unfair play, doping ... ;)

Maybe it's just me, but how do you find excitement watching TTs? Unless you're waiting for someone to fall off or something.

I enjoyed the Tour Prologue when it was on in London. It's like many sports. Split times and television screens help.
