And then we can discuss a price?!
-
• #2478
Ha, gotta give you that one
-
• #2479
I'd say about just over half of whatever you paid, because you've barely used them?
-
• #2480
Might be interested in just the 50mm prime if you fancy selling that?
-
• #2481
Yes mate, £40 makes it yours

Can't go wrong with the nifty fifty
-
• #2484
What's the hub spacing? 120mm presumably?
-
• #2485
Yes indeed
-
• #2486
Thought so. Boo.
-
• #2487
What spacing do you need?
-
• #2489
Ok cool - @hudsoncjnr do you want the pair then?
-
• #2490
If I can sell the Archetypes then yes!
We'll discuss at beers tomorrow!!
-
• #2491
Ok cool. My Open Pros are waiting for me at home, so my current ones will just be sitting around from this evening onwards.
-
• #2492
135mm at the back
-
• #2493
Why on earth would you want to go from Archetypes to Weinmanns?
-
• #2494
Whats the fascination with open pros? There are so many more rims out there that are far superior to those old timer mavics!
-
• #2495
Well aren't you a pleasant chap
-
• #2496
Proof of standing up to decades of abuse, the go-to strong training rims for probably millions of people, using the 'fashionable' eyelets and SUP rim joints years before H+Sons were even a company, a low profile section without being too boxy, not to mention that I've already got a French track frame, a Mavic 305 headset, Mavic 632 cranks and Mavic garms. Perfectly good fascination imo :)
-
• #2497
Oh, and I also wanted them, and am incredibly happy with them, so it doesn't really matter if there are 'better' options, as they're the right option for me.
-
• #2498
Thanks for the compliment!
Just wondering really, seems like a step backwards from my point of view
-
• #2499
All the open pros that I have built lately have had terrible joins and haven't been particularly round.
I think Mavics quality has decreased in the last few years. Pinned joins are never good, welded is the way to go for sure.
I was unaware that you were trying to go for a mavic theme through the bike.

I was potentially interested in downgrading as they're only for my work bike and I'm funding a road build at present
I'll give you £40 and buy you a pint?
