I don't understand how you've even managed to bodge a frame with an integrated seatpost bolt to take a QR, but I like the initiative - pics?
-
• #2378
The bolt came out, it was just a bolt through into a nut the other side, I managed to shear the bolt at the start of the thread so it slipped out quite easily! Will upload some pics shortly

Ah yeah, I forgot it was quite an old frame - I was thinking of mine, which is just threaded at the top of the stay, rather than having room for a two-part fixing. Maybe go to a bike shop and see if you can get a proper seatpost bolt - might look nicer?

This looks nice enough! It's just silver and not as safe! My saddle is annoying me, keeps sliding, ugh!
-
• #2381
Dont suppose anyone has a 26mm stem they'll trade for a 25.4 stubby? Itching to get these road bars on!
And also a 25.4 seatpost, my saddle seems to continuously slip regardless of what i do with packing etc, so im gonna blame it on the seatpost!
-
• #2382
Was my quill not 26?
-
• #2383
I thought it was 25.4 mate, regardless thTs the stem for my risers! I don't wanna have to unwrap bars each time I wann change them so I prefer the full cockpit
-
• #2384
Ah of course - ignore me!
-
• #2385
Haha yes mate! This seat post is really confusing me, not holding the saddle! :s

HEY ALL - I'm selling my 'nice' wheelset - a handbuilt set of H Plus Son Archetypes (black) on Victoire HFT track hubs (black). Spokes are Sapim Race (actually black, rather than silver painted black like a lot of black spokes) Front is 32h radially laced, rear is 36h 3x/radial.
They've been ridden a grand total of 180 miles, so they're pretty much new. They're SUPER nice, and very light. In fact, People often say 'oooh, they're nice' and i'm only selling due to my discontinued interest in my singlespeed being my 'nice' bike. i.e. I want a road or cx bike.
For you lot - £300.
Pictures to follow later today. These are going on ebay on Sunday, at a price of 'more' so grab yourself a local bargain. :) -

• #2390
Anyone wanna make a (sensible) offer for my wheels? I just found some Nice Miche cogs that i'll chuck in too.
-
• #2391
What OLN are the Victoire HFT track hubs? 120mm?
And do they have machined surfaces for braking? -
• #2392
100mm front and 120mm rear - all standard track spacing. The archetypes do indeed have machined braking surfaces, machined then painted black.

Anybody after some MTB riser bars? I seem to have a surplus and posting them is ridiculously expensive for such low value items :-/
25.4 and 31.8 - Various widths & rises. Nice, barely use ones or beaters.
No photos atm, as it's as dark as Mordor out there today.

I've identified a couple of things in the garage that are surplus to requirements.
First is a silver clincher Velocity B43 rear wheel with velocity sealed bearing hub. Includes cog, track nuts and lockring. £60.
Second is a Campagnolo high flange track hub laced to an Araya Aero 1 tubular rim with Hoshi bladed spokes. Includes cog and track nuts. £105.
Will take pics if anyone is interested.

More off topic Christmas present goodness....
£379 is the cheapest they seem to be new...I'd like £250 including a lovely hard case
It looks very pretty where it is but it never gets played!
Went to the almighty expensive orange and black sign in the sky and bought myself a quick release, not the best, but it's a quick fix, need to get remains of a chain to link to my seat now though! Also they only had silver, contrasts with my mostly black bike! :(
