  • Ok guys. Change of plan this week. Too many times have we goune for a distance ride. On this Friday coming we should all hook up and have an innercity doss about. Tricks, racing cars, hitting carparks, races, finding spots etc... General irresponsibility required. No lycra. No seriousness, just pure fun. Instead of taking it to the pub, we should all stock up with cans and hit the shit. Who's coming?

How about bike vs motorbike? I've always wandered whats quickest from one side of the city to the other. If the roads are reasonably dry (i'll crash and burn otherwise) we could do a top gear style race...?
If not booze and tricks sounds good

  • Booze and tricks definately. And a motorbike? Come on? Gears are bad enough, lol. Let's see what happens... Would be good to use the motorbike to get in pissition to take some pictures or record some videos of a long ride. Up hill struggles make wicked pictures.

  • Ok nearly there. Almost the weekend. Tricks for dicks, stunts for cunts! Rock it up bu'z!

  • Meh, working this weekend. Still, picking up my new front light this evening, so need to take that out for a test...

  • Snarb might fail it raineth

  • Got the Fenix through; pretty bright, nice and small, well made and waterproof.

That last point is quite pertinent; it be raining hard.

Think I'm ducking out, to the pub. Workshop on Earlham Road. Dry in there.

Biking down in a bit. Anyone welcome.

  • Mate, drinks were good. Sorry if I offended your mates sparks.

Rode to the football club from the pub. Hit queens road and rode over some red lights. Cut onto the curb and clipped my side on the pedestrian signal box. That fuckin killed.
Then rode down carrow hill fast, got near to the bottom and realised the brackondale/ king st. traffic was rife. Must have skidded 100ft sideways before I managed to get to the bottom and manouvre through the cars.

That is the single most scary biking experience I have ever felt. I'm still shaking 20 mins later. Fuck it maybe Grolsch will take the shakes away. What a wash out.

  • I'm gonna have the first one as an avatar I recon. Ats reet dark.

  • Ok. A bit late on the announcements. Tomorow night. Meet up @ Anglia Square at 8 o'clock for an earlier start, leave at 8:30. Actually ride out to Wroxham (not just to Salhouse this time boys). Nob about up there for a bit, then head back to Anglia Square for beer and tricks. Who is in?

  • I'm in London tomorrow so no can do. Have fun.

  • If the weather holds, I'm in.

  • Yeah. Doesn't look too promising... Dysa fancy a carpark session if not?

  • FRIDAY NIGHTS BEEN A DWINDLING!

Are you men or mice? Affraid of a bit of moisture. Man up! The weather may be shitty but there are still plenty of routes to be had. You can have time off at Xmas, along with nuts, cake and mulled wine!

    No excuses.

And I'm talking serious this time. Ride what you want. 40 miles. No drink or drugs. Limited stops. Just pure hard, fast cadence all night. Ride like your life depends on it.

    Where my dogs at?

  • 40 miles? Where to? I'm in, and fixed now, too.

  • Anyone coming to this? I'm going to book my ticket this evening - going down in the evening and pulling an all nighter to come back on the first train home in the morning. Nice sunrise blast around the capital.

Dunno. Got a loose idea in my mind. Just follow the leader, and I will run GPS. Will be serious though to make up for all them failed attemps.

    Winter is here. Training time...

  • I'm in.

  • Sweet...

  • Anyone got a bike to lend PUP for this?

  • Right... For tomorow night I need 1 chainring, 1 lock ring and 5 chainring bolts. Chainring needs to be mtb size. I think its 104 bcd?!? Apart from this I got a load of shit ready to go... Gonna go and buy a lockring tomorow. Who has what. Please help. I'm up for a ride come rain or shine... After the week I've had I think I need it...

  • I have plenty of bolts, not no singles - got washers? Got a chainring that came off the CB cranks - that the right size? Would be a bit spinny, think it's 32...

  • Cool. I will take a handfull of bolts if that's ok? Dans gonna lend me some kit, but I want to give him it all back asap as its off the Holdsworth... What time are you going to be free later. Meant to rain in the day but be fine in the night...
