Cheating. It's like using a fighter jet in a boat race, or something.
Anyways, I still feel like death warmed up, but I'm bored of resting so I'm coming out. Not sure how many layers to put on. Thinking somewhere between a lot and fuckloads.

Wooooooooooosh. Fuck fixed, gears rule!
cough What?
Very nice machine but needs dialling in, and don't want to get her dirty. Plus, silly me followed the instructions for mounting my lights, and now I can't fit the front to the Ribble's oversized bars.
Will put the pedals back on Ol' Crunchy and throw her round the city instead.

Wicked ride last night - good route skills Mark, you know your shit. Sorry to peel off early but glad of the early night now.
Did you end up at the Bicycle Shop?
-
• #130
Yeah it was a good ride out. I feel good tonight, if not a bit tired after getting in at 01.15. Definitely a good 20+ miles. Went to the bike shop which was OK but nothing fantastic. Just another poncey pub. They called time just after we arrived so went down to the 10 Bells for a final drink. Whats the plan for next week. And oh yeah. Powder coating season is nearly upon us! We will have to work out who is having what done and I can let Si know. Thanks for a great evening guys. Peace y'all.
Oh yeah, and what did you think of the run through Mousehold? Nothing too nuts but still pretty fun I think!

Dunno about anyone else, but I had a couple of moments of pure cycling zen last Friday, Mark's route was awesome (although we started to lose focus a bit after the Hellesdon river-side stop for some reason), and I suggest we do a similar route this coming Friday 23rd.
Mikey, any of your shots come out?
Right, lets get a list going.

Well. I loved Norwich. Haven't been for years. Failed to come out friday night, spotted The Bike Shop on saturday though. On saturday evening spotted a rider of a decent track frame with chrome stays, on a that little bridge quite near that Wetherspoons / The Lawyer ... I shouted Do A Skid but probably not loud enough. Also spotted an oldish fellow on a black geared Hetchins... I told him it was a beautiful bike and he nearly fell off in surprise that someone knew what it was.
My bruv Rupert is now set up on his sjs SS, and bloody loves it. It has a One Less Car sticker on the TT. Say hi if you see him, please. I'll point him toward the Friday night rides threads.
Cheers

Aye I've seen the Hetchins around, gorgeous and looks like it's been well loved. Will look out for Rupert, is that SJS as in the site sponsor? What colour is it?

Red frame, yellow decals 'http://www.sjscycles.com' shit all over it. Its about 54cm, mudgaurds, black brooks tape. He's WELL happy with it. He doesn't know I'm called Skully, which is why I wrote 'Ben' up there.
Cheers

We just ran a story on that. It's called guerilla knitting. There's also a fad for guerilla gardening at the moment. Love it.
-
• #139
guerilla knitting... weird. too bad you'd have to cut it off.
@skully, your bro looks like you :) -
• #140
Aw shucks. He's actually not as much of a village idiot as me.

Yeah yeah snarble. Get your ass back to Norwich. How many weeks has this all been now. You keep naming up and then not manning up. Come on Snarbs. Fix up look sharp.
Oh and I made the route. 30 miles ok for yo all. Similar route to last friday. More main roads though. I have also devised a day trip out on the back roads to Loddon then to Reedham ferry for lunch and beer then back through Acle and down Yarmouth road. I'm thinking a daytime in the 1st week of december? Come rain or shine! Can anyone book a day off work for that?
