Maybe, and I admittedly use them semi-regularly in texts etc, but I'd rather leave it up to the reader to determine whether a smile or a frown is implied.

Can I have any more clues?

Who's up for tomorrow's city lap ride?
-
• #1105
Donny's popping to mine @ 8:30ish. We are the crashing to the Pelican @ Tacolneston to meet Dom outta work!
-
• #1106
I'm in for the lap, can probably be at The Forum for 6.30, subject to work.
If we're back for 8.30 I might join you on the blast to Tacolnestone but will see how I feel. -
• #1107
Yeah cool I'm up for both. See you at the Forum at 6.30? Might need to drop some stuff off at mine on the way but I've got a route in mind if so.

Dammit - apparently I'm off to Southwold for the weekend (news to me!), and we're leaving tonight, so I'm out.
-
• #1109
Col, want to go ahead with the lap at 6.30 or shall we all just meet at Mark's at half 8?
-
• #1110
I'll go for half eight, gives me time to get ahead on my weekend chores. Hurrah!

Just found out it's pronounced Tackleston. Gotta love East Anglian place names.
Looking forward to it, never ridden out that way before.

It is sort of near to Wymondham. Do you boys want to meet me and Donny @ KFC on Dereham Rd, around 8:45 then. That will give him a chance to hold the baby and that... Catch ya later on.

Nice one Dan, was a good ride out...
Dan got to mine @ 9. We drank Lattes, which was very civilised. Left by 9:30 and headed out towards St. Stephens in the pissing rain. Probably made it just past the Marsh Harrier and the rain died down. Hit the B1113 straight through keswick, Swardeston, Mulbarton, Braco Ash, Wreningham, Fundenhall before arriving @ our destination, The Pelican in Tacolneston.
A nice 10 miles there followed by a few pints in the comforts of a Traditional English Public House. Dom had to get a lift so we didn't ride back with him. Headed off and came back through Wymondham.
I properly crashed and burned by the time we got too Cringleford, but Dan saved the day with a bar of stodge (Lucozade Protein Bars, mmmmmmmmmmmmmm). Nice one for my first decent ride in 8 weeks.
Lookin forward to the next one now!

Nice night with Jack and PuP. They were doing little tricksy bits and I was following along behind like a malcoordinated old codger on a shopper bike.
Got me fired-up to learn backwards circles though. Cheers lads.

Yeah I'm in. Need to have a look at my drivetrain at some point before then though - started making some nasty crunching noises the other night. Also need to have a bash at truing my front wheel, it's got a proper wobble on..
