This is the immediate problem both platforms are going to suffer from. But Microsoft and Sony have been giving incentives to developers to go NG over current for certain titles which clearly not NG.

If you buy somewhere else, it swaps your property over. If its cheaper, you get money back, if its more you pay the difference. I believe

Strangely you spawned inside my garage while I was picking a car, then you got ran over.

I thought it was an accident the first time, the second time I didn't, and was a bit outraged by an attack on a fellow crew member, hence the machine gunning! Sorry about that - you're lucky I have poor shooting skills ;)

On property, you get 50% of anywhere you sell off the next place you buy. Which is a bit crap really.

I bought 3 Atla St, Apt 57, which is generally regarded as a really good apartment for the money because it has the over $200k fancy interior, a 10 car fancy garage and a really good downtown location - near to ammonation, Los Santos Customs and Mors Mutual for picking up replacement cars.

The only downside of it is lots of people own those apartments, so you sometimes get other players hanging around outside trying to kill you. An apartment in a quieter area might be a better idea with hindsight. I have to check the CCTV before I leave the house :/

Also has anyone noticed there seems to be a way to steal personal vehicles? I've had other players drive mine around twice now after leaving it ungaraged.

Both times I've found it totally trashed afterwards, once it was on top of another car...

Have you changed the access settings for your vehicle?

Mine is set to allow myself and crew members access, but one time I changed it to everyone whilst messing around with a random and forgot to change it back, this ended with my car getting joyridden and destroyed later on in the session.

I leave my vehicles dotted all over the place without really thinking about them so I hope there isn't a way to bypass the allowed access system.

It's annoying that the car access doesn't have an 'on-mission' setting, where the people you're on a job with can get in but the second you're back in free roam it respects your normal setting. Helps avoid that awkward 'trying the door repeatedly at the start of every mission' thing.

I should probably stick GTA in and have a play now the cash seems to have landed, actually.

I think there is a glitch basically. The access is not broken as such, just a timing delay before the check happens. Say you kill the owner whilst he is getting out, and you jump in immediately it will let you take their car. Then after a few seconds you will see the message at the top saying you can't take a PV, and you won't be able to move. I think it is worse with motorbikes, since you can get some distance before you get stopped.

Are you philxthomas on psn? If so, it was me that was with you at the start of chase (i died trying to grab the SUV).
Ended to going back to my apartment, which is the same block as yours, shooting the guy that was outside a few times and eventually grabbing the SUV you left outside. It's now in my garage.
Not sure why you couldn't drive it in your garage, maybe it's full?

also the sheriff SUV is just a Declasse Granger with police paint job, lights and bullbars, but you can't upgarde nearly as much as the granger.

You couldn't respray a cop car in GTA 4, have they changed that? Seems a bit pointless...

You can only modify the Sheriff SUV at Beeker's garage in Paleto Bay, right at the north tip of the map.
^^^^If you find out otherwise let me know so I don't have to drive to the top of the map.

i could respray (the white) and add bullet proof tyres at the modshop in the city centre. Maybe you can mod more at the out of town one?

My psn is psywood but that was me in the rusty beach buggy/ truck thing. Garage us mostly empty.

I'll just have to start another police chase tomorrow!

^ This is how to get a police SUV without all the hassle:

It was super easy;

[]Start a private session
[]Drive to the prison
[]Enter the prison to get 4 wanted level
[]Exit again
[]Drive around the prison carpark until a sherif SUV arrives
[]Kill the driver (plus as many other attached to it that you can)
[]Die
[*]You respawn really close w/ no wanted level so can get into it and drive to the nearest mod-shop

1. Die
   
2. Respawn
