  • qckpckt, this is a common condition, and happens to the best of us. Sometimes the quality of the opposition varies, but the interesting thing about MW2 is that when you're playing well, you fall into a sort of meditative trance-like state. You're sharp, fast, the whole map is clear in your mind, you almost instinctively know where everyone is, you're quick on the draw and ready with pistol and combat knife....

BUT, fall out of this state, and you suffer, hard. Then it's a downward spiral. Get nailed a few times, you get the rage. You're craving for some sort of fix, proof, to yourself and others, that YOU'RE BETTER THAN THIS, you can play, forces you to run into battle more recklessly than ever, and invariably you suffer further, harder.

Switch the console off, take a cuppa, read a relaxing book, then get back to it. You'll be a machine.

  • qckpckt, we're talking Xbox here. You should be able to do all that in edit profile in My Xbox.

My clan tag is fluid, I generally pick on someone and parody their's (they hate it), but I'll switch to LFGS

You should be like a games guru btw.

Also secondary btw, I know who you are. Like a stalker, if you will. We have had dealings in the very recent past.

You may recall looking for some sidis in size 46 or 47, i forget which. I informed you that you were in the wrong spitalfields store of a particular cycling purveyor.

You made a quip about dismounting your bike to negotiate some one way streets. I got the distinct impression that you would in fact cycle down them and as such phoned the police. I am still awaiting my crime reference number.

(didja find them in the end? I do hope you utilised the very generous price matching policy that we offer.)

I assumed as much. I've had an xbox for about 4 years, only recently delved into xbox live, mainly due to an irrational hatred of multiplayer games brought about because of counter strike source. I will edit my profile later!

  • No fuckin' way! Alright man. Well recognised. I did get busted actually, so thanks for that. £531 fine and banned from London for a year.

I did get them, didn't have to use any price matching as you're doing them for significantly less than anyone else, although I've been told you're down to the last ones before the new stock comes along at full price.

  • what different does it make? it just a PC that happen to run OS X nowadays.
if your not running a tower...most up to date powermac at least with an upgraded GPU 512 minimum ddr5 (that i doubt you have) then i guess you will be playing with the lowest resolution to keep your fraps over 30! pc dominate macs when it comes to gaming and 3d rendering..why do you think pcs are used to base a gaming rig around and not a mac? because macs are wank!

  • oh no, here come the fan boys.

  • Also one of the main reasons (I believe) people don't use Mac's for gaming is the lack of games library which is compatible with the operating system, if Mac's could run PC games there would be a whole lot more people playing games on their Macs.

  • yes of course...i am surprised apple havent built a gaming mac yet..and i wouldnt be surprised if in the near future with all the popularity with games on the iphone apple bring one out

  • nyquil, can you got out of my thread please? THNX.

  • Also, the Apple Pippin was ostensibly a games machine

  • Vicks NyQuil, I didn't says it's more powerful, I said it's just a PC that run OS X nowadays unlike the past where they use to have the slow PPC chip.

    They're just computer.

  • nyquil, can you got out of my thread please? THNX.
why are you the games master or sommit?

  • Nyquil, opinion is just that opinion, you have yours, other people have theirs, pulling this thread into a pc's are great macs are shit isn't required. That's your opinion your welcome to it. But most in this thread have agreed to talk about the games we like to play, want to play and hope to play, without getting into any fanboy my console/system is better than yours.
Just play the games and enjoy them.

well said Cornelius... (I've no idea what nquil is talking about it's definitly not about what games he likes and why)

  • why are you the games master or sommit?

    See post 838

  • ok sorry. Has anyone tried the explosive punch in gay tony?

  • Have just beeen scared twice within 2 minutes while playing alan wake.

1st instance was while i was wandering in the woods, vey atmospheric, foggy, quiet, occasional wildlife noise when siddenly a badger or some animal jumped out of a bin knocking it over as i passed. I dropped the control pad because i was so startled. Then a minute later... well better not give any spoilers, just to say the game makes the xbox controller do things i've never experienced it do before...
Amazing game and beautiful with some scenes etched into my brain.
scarier than any other game i've played for ages (since eternal darkness on the cube)

  • Alan Wake! I need to pick that up soon, look pretty decent.

  • I love a game which scares you.

I remember playing Doom3 for the first time, with the flash light now that was scary.

  • scarier than any other game i've played for ages (since eternal darkness on the cube)

    Eternal Darkness is a classic.

Shame nobody bought it back then. I think it was a flop.

Haven't tried Alan Wake yet. Waiting for a friend to give me copy. The fucker (co-)wrote it, so I believe he might get the game for free.

  • Red Dead Redemption arrived yesterday. So ace.

  • I had a terrifying game on the PC back in the 90s, came on diskettes, can't remember what it was called though. KBAI
