Does anyone bother downloading the map packs for COD games? Are they any good? Getting a bit bored of the multiplayer on black ops 2, but resent paying £30, could buy another game with that

I have on a couple - not worth it really. Have you tried just playing the game-modes you don't normally play? That kept me into CoD for a long time; really hard when you don't know the tactics for certain matches & you end up using the current maps in a completely different way. Then when you go back to your usual game-modes you absolutely dominate (sometimes).

Or just play nuketown 2025 24/7 and fly up levels.

Hopefully will presteige tonight again then I'll start playing other game modes.

Can't remember a game apart from GTA4 where I've downloaded all DLC.

All this talk of CoD/MW3 has made me go re-new my Live sub. Will be on tonight my tag is- 'InvinciblePrawn'.

@spenceey - No, some combination of MW3 and Halo4 most probably.

Can't wait for GTA 5 though.

Pretty much only game I'll buy on release date this year.

Is it worth buying any new games that close to the end of the year?

If the PS4 is being released during the "holiday" (so assuming December) & Microsoft's next offering bound to be around the same time - I'm not sure if I can justify the cost of a new game for a system I'll probably cut down on using in a couple of months.

Or do we think they'll release GTA5 on the next gen consoles too?

If they do release it on the next gen (not sure if they will yet) then I'll pick it up for that.

San Andreas was released quite near the end of PS2 life cycle too wasn't it?

Yes I think so; I think that & Black were the last games I played on PS2 though the marketplace had a much different dynamic than it will for this generation switch.

Xbox Live is still down! Can't do nothing since I need a system update.

My son has just told me that at the end of each game of FIFA there is two or three minutes for sausages.

Only played about 10 minutes of skyrim. That was on the PC I couldn't really get in to it. Maybe if I gave it more time...

Tempted to give fallout another go before long, when I first played 3 the story was amazing - literally could not put it down and pretty much completed it in a week. My only problem with those games is I don't like looking round for stuff all the time and like a story to follow.

On that note have any of you guys played Defiance yet? It appears to be like a Borderlands MMO.

Fallout NV? I find it's much more enjoyable exploring especially the add-on.

That's why it's taken me so long to take the plunge! But I find I can dip in and out of epic quest much more freely than footy games, which will happily chew up 4 hours and leave you feeling completely hollow

Apparently Defiance is shite... but I've not checked it out personally.

OK so seriously considering selling my gaming pc.

I just don't play it enough. Since Christmas I've played it twice, most of my gaming is now done on the xbox if and when I get time.
