There was a clue somewhere, IIRC. Can't remember where the clue was, but it was a great big honking clue that had the sequence on it and you'd just remember it and then go and jump it.

I used to play that game constantly - still remember the sweaty palm feeling whenever I got to a new level that I'd never seen before because it was so absurdly easy to die whenever you put a single pixel wrong. I was even getting the sweaty palms watching that video because I was sure he was going to be destroyed every couple of seconds.

Aye, back when games used to be hard. None of this auto save shit...

I remember playing the original back in the day. Fantastic hl mod.

4th of September apparently, it feel like years ago that i preorded it, probably because it was. I think I get some special armour or something.

So glad that a good mod has had the chance to become, what looks like, a great game. I only wish other developers were as good about making the engine code open source as well * cough* DICE cough cough.

What is it? Looks like an early version of Aliens vs Predator - i.e. flip between species.

Natural Selection - Either play as marines or aliens. Different classes or alien and you get different weapons as the marines.

Hell of a lot of fun and a lot of strategy involved too.

Basically two species battle it out, its a really good blend of FPS and strategy, each team has a commander with a top down view, there only limited resources, loads of diffident classes etc.

watch the videos to get a feel for it, the first game was amazing, i can only imagine this is even better. They've certainly had enough time to make it good.

Do people still play Call of Duty? I've been dabbling in it again recently so that I'm not completely useless when the new one comes out but I'm not sure if I can be bothered to get excited about it (for the first time ever I haven't even reached prestige on MW3)...

Is the time of first person shooters over or am I just not on the ball with what's new?

Got CS:GO over the weekend, what a mistake didn't do anything else. Is there a list of Steam usernames somewhere so I can add you.

I've been racing through Skyrim again - not picking up minor quests but doing all the majors. Also exploring Everywhere - just running in every direction finding place's like the little hunters lodge in the south east that does the Kyne quest-line and Angie's hut down near Falkreath. Took a solid week but am now finally up to speed so at the weekend I started Dawnguard. BOOM. Great content with some fantastic new design. Definitely worth a pop.

I redownloaded MW3 on Steam the other day but haven't played any yet.

Been playing lots of BF3 on Origin.

A bit of LA Noire at last (though after the first few promotions the novelty has kind of worn off).

I've never played Counter Strike - never really saw the appeal but all this took of CS:GO is making me curious..
