Last night I got round to giving the serious bit of GT Academy 2012 a shot. 640th fastest in the UK/Ireland, but this was after five cans of Stella so hopefully some room for improvement. The 350Z is great fun. For all its faults as a game, GT5's driving is second to none.
Also forked out for BF3 Premium this week even though I've not played it in over a month. Not given Close Quarters a bash yet, looks a bit CoD for my tastes.

Haven't even got BF3 Premium yet the new maps look fun, are they released yet though?

They're released already if you stump up the forty quid for premium. Think it's another week or so before they're available as regular DLC, not sure what the price is.

if you plan on buying all the DLC's anyway it works out cheaper, even if you already own the karkand pack

Briefly made the top 200 on GT Academy. Had been 197th, but now down to 201st. Was struggling to find any time all afternoon, but after a couple of beers I suddenly knocked 0.1 sec off, and the very next lap another 0.4. Half a second in two laps is a huge improvement, sadly it went downhill after that.
God knows where the leader gets nearly another second and a half from. I'm also a full second behind the time that would qualify for the national finals. Might give it another bash during the week, but can't imagine I'll place meself much higher.

I went up 4 ranks in BF3 this weekend, slightly miffed to see the double XP was only applied to ribbons etc though

How on earth have you got 9m in the bank? Never brought anything? I had a mad spending spree the other day.
Now I'm just working on building up my money again, the real money auction house is live today as well.
I'm also starting to find certain parts of the game tedious. hmmm we shall see.
Found a belt and got lucky. I'm only really playing it when my friend is on now, grinding a way through Inferno is quite a good laugh. Bloody hard though

I don't get the RMAH.
It's just as scattergun as the gold auction house - i've seen identically good items listed for £1.25 all the way up to £20, and been able to find similar or better items in the gold auction house for about 20-60K.
Considering the going rate for gold seems to be 100K = 50p, I really don't see how its going to work. Also there's no way to see if any items are actually being purchased. Certainly none of mine have been.
Now in hell with my monk, but I'm getting a bit bored of him. The thought of grinding up my wizard, barbarian, demon hunter or witch doctor (yes I have one of each on the go) even to nightmare is making me yawn.
Who else enjoys the game far more when playing with friends?

I might actually have to get this bloody game and see what all the fuss is about...

Got Brink for the xbox at the weekend for £5 from Sainsburys (it was labelled as £7.99 too lol). I quite enjoy it, it's like playing a revamped version of the old Team Fortress crossed with Halo. The only gash thing is it doesn't seem to have a great amount of online players, probably as it was never received that well and got slated for one reason or another. Would be good with a load of mates but you all have to have the game plus xbox live so i may just write it off as a £5 well spend to kill time this weekend.

I didn't get on with it like... though I can never do online fps's with more shit to do than just kill people ;)
I only ever play bf3 on deathmatch... can't cope with objectives to worry about too!

Yep inferno is good fun - damn hard and lots of swearing. Nice one on the belt! I'm just playing through getting as much gold as possible at the moment have almost a million now.

The RMAH is going to take a while I think until the prices settle down. My only worry is that once people realise that they can start making money everything will be on there as opposed to the gold auction house.
They also need a way in which you can view the auction house whilst your playing. The fact you have to leave the game to see if items are selling is ridiculous it just seems as though the auction house is an after thought.
Saying that the game seems to have gone a bit stale for me. I'm on something like 70odd hours played. But when playing with friends it's still a great laugh. I just think it's maybe a case of playing too much in a short space of time.
Back to battlefield for me for a little bit but I'll still be playing diablo. Playing inferno with you guys would be a laugh.
