In Skyrim news; Why do I have a random horse that spawns with me when I quick-travel but then walks off as soon as I'm not riding it?
Is he black with red eyes?
-
• #5154
Nah. The 'normal' horses you buy from stables do this as long as you don't get them killed by a dragon.

ReppedHa. You spelled it 'ragquitter', though.
Echoes of losing one's rag. :)

It's black, not looked at it's eyes - I'll check when I get home today (inevitably going to turn into a 4 hour session rather than going out with friends...). I don't just follow one quest at a time so not sure who gave it to me, I defo didn't buy it though. It either came from the Nightingales or the Legion, or just something random.
I'm mildly curious as to where it goes once I've entered a cave or something, I come back out ready to ride on & it's nowhere to be seen!

It will have wandered off in the local area somewhere. At least, that's what mine does.

I am fully addicted.
I have been furiously smithing so that I can get some legendary armour(so basically making lots of iron daggers), got my Elven armour to legendary, with a view to making dragonscale armour.
I found having Faendal from Riverwood as a follower quite helpful, as you can get him to train you in archery and then ask him to hold some stuff for you, take your money back. Rinse, repeat. Now level 26.

^ creating leather braces is cheaper and easier for levelling up smithing.
You can either buy the leather or hunt a couple of bears and you usually get a 1/3 of a smithing level per brace made. Simples.

If you see any black soul gems, grab them.
When you discover the Atronach Forge you'll also find that you can make Daedric Armour. That shit is the bomb. You're almost invincible in it.
And if you still feel vulnerable, enchant the whole thing.

any gt5 players out there yet ?
any groups i can join and play on line ? -
• #5170
^^ Oops that should be I've got my Elven armour at epic level. Isn't Daedric Armour heavy? And aren't Daedra hearts quite rare? I've been building up the light armour perk tree and none of the heavy armour one so it makes more sense for me to keep going with that.
I also have a question re: enchanting. Do you only have to charge weapons? -
• #5171
yeah, armour doesn't run out soul, brother
-
• #5172
You can perk up so that armor doesn't affect weight.
And leave the dragon scales and bones back at Breezehome in Whiterun. They weigh a bomb. Pop back to Breezehome and shove everything in the first cupboard in the house before doing any quest so that you have just the stuff you need and lots of carrying ability.
As for Daedra hearts, they start of being rare, but like everything else in the game it all levels up after a while. Just go do the Azura Star quest and you'll grab a whole load from the Dremora in the heart. You'll get another couple from the quest that starts at the Dawnstar Museum.
I had a harder time finding all the ebony ore and ingots required than finding all of the hearts required.
-
• #5173
^ gloombound mine has 16 ebony veins and if you steal the ebony ingots lying around as well, you'll come out with 58 pieces of ebony ore which is enough to make a full set of armour, then enhance it, plus a bow and a mace.
The mine also replenishes after 30 in games days...

Also, the fence in the Mages Guild will sell two Daedra hearts a (game) day.

There is also one on a table in the Companions leaders room that respawns every few days.
Ha, I'm just guessing what 'ragequitter' means, but I imagine we could call some of our flouncers that. :)
