I've been enjoying rage so far... nothing groundbreaking, but I didn't expect it.

From the 5 minutes of dark souls I've played, all I can tell is that the controls are a bit awkward, and it's (the beginning at least) fucking ugly.

I'll have to give it a proper play through at the weekend, and probably smash my controller if it's as hard as it's supposed to be.

I cancelled my Rage preorder. Bit disappointed cos I was looking forward to it, but between the technical problems and reports of underwhelming gameplay I thought it best to give it a while.

On the other hand, maybe I should stick to brainless shooters. I'm about two hours into ICO and completely fucking stuck. Am determined to not resort to internet help, but the situation is looking pretty bleak.

I struggled with ICO on the ps2. It is well worth the effort.

hmmm space marine is beginning to bore me.. still not finding it particularly challenging on hard, just seems to have more of every enemy at each encounter. Not sure whether I should part ex it for something else or hold out for the co-op DLC.

In need of another game now... looks like it'll have to be dark souls...

I've still not killed the first colossus on SOTC... fucking infuriating.

Dark Souls is insanely hard! Even the intro walkthrough I'm struggling with...

It is hard yes, I'm not sure if it's because I'm used to playing Demons Souls at level 400 or if it's actually just plain harder.

Another thing I noticed is that there are so many different routes I can take. Do they lead to the different 'worlds' in the game or is that later? I'm still just running around the castle/town type area getting killed but stuff.

Also, bonfire placement seems to be pretty often so far. I remember being stuck replaying a massive chunk of Boletaria on DS, but I feel like that's not going to happen now.

ALSO, what the shit is kindle and humanity? Humanity = living/soul form?

I have 2 humanity and have no idea what to actually do with it, guessing it's better to save until I really need it. I think kindling gives you more in the health flask when you go to the bonfire. I managed to not die in the intro though, which was surprising because I was expecting to be taken down pretty quickly by the Asylum Demon.

I didn't even think you would have to kill it until the twelftyeth run through...

Yeah he got me the 1st time as I didn't see the door you could run to. Got him the 2nd time with the claymore tho.

Oh right, I think you have things I dont... I stabbed him in the head on the way down, and then chopped him a bit while drinking lots of orange stuff.

As is cursed crusade, just spent the majority of the weekend playing through it with my housemate co-op, well worth the look, nicely rewarding and graphically entertaining gameplay, so much fun to e had with a mace and an axe!!! Or axe and axe, or duel swords, or basically any medieval weapon available.

Fucking hard yeah though despite dying all the time it hasn't got boring since there are so many options and paths through. I am currently grinding up levels to progress beyond what must be only the 3rd bonfire and now at level 7. There is something quite zen about playing this.

Agree the humanity does seem limited in its use apart from kindling for more estus flask stuff... maybe later in the game or in multiplayer when you can invade other people's games a steal their humanity.

Yea he got me too. Can't find any bonfires near so massive treck back to get killed again. Now im level 13
