I enjoyed driver up to the point where you could transfer in to other peoples cars, what a crock of shit.

I really liked that about it... made everything more fun.

So after working my way slowly and methodically through the game, I am now at Panchaea. Boy do I feel smart for not getting that chip upgrade! Based on what happened immediately after though, I don't quite see what difference it would have made...

As for the two later boss fights. The 2nd I thought was dumb and poorly executed. All i did was stay perfectly still until she appeared and charged at me. 1 salvo of heavy rifle fire, 1 typhoon system blast and a few more headshots and she was down.

The 3rd boss fight though.. that was FUN! I felt like a bit of a badass using my see-through-walls thing to track him, using remote explosives to catch him off guard, then finishing him off with a couple of grenade launcher blasts. Thought the setting was pretty neat as well. Very nice level design.

Interesting to see how the game finishes up now. I feel like I am drawing in to a close. Definitely will revisit the game for another play-through. This time round I didn't really approach it in any particular way - some sections I was uber stealthy, others I got bored and blasted the shit out of things. In the later levels I got the hang of using the map properly and figuring out the best way round guards, and have actually found it fairly easy.

I think next time I'll ramp up the difficulty to maximum and challenge myself to approach the game from entirely one angle. I haven't really used any of the non-combat augs - none of the stealth ones and none of the leg modifications (higher jumps, silent running etc). I'd like to think i could play through without killing anyone, but frankly i'm not sure if I have the patience for that.

this is definitely the best game i have played since Mass Effect 2.

Anybody else played the FIFA 12 demo? I'm so excited, looks like they have sorted out defending(no more squaring in the box for a tap in). Menus look good and it seems faster overall(smoother keepers/subs etc).

If I were to pre-order through say, Amazon, should I expect to receive it on the release date?

Oh and Messi is 95!

shoptp.net is almost always the cheapest and if pre order a game and don't get it on the release date they give you like a fiver. Great website.

[Potential Deus Ex Spoilers]

The 3rd Deus ex bos was easy even with the sabotaged chip and on hard setting. Immediately got the grenade laucher out bang bang bang bang bang dead. Took about 4 seconds on the 1st try.

The bosses were a let down really. Even the last one, I knew I could just run down and open all the doors by hand easily, but I had to restrain myself for the sake of spinning a yarn. Shit ending as well.

The best bit in the game, besides the general greatness, was the bit where you have to save Malik. You had to really choreograph and plan ahead. Brilliant game though.

Saving Malik was pretty tough and fun.

The third boss was pretty easy. Throw grenade, shoot in face with exploding bullet revolver a couple of times, repeat (however, as I said, I played the bosses on easy). It was, also, really well designed.

Also, like I said, I still have no fucking clue what happened with the last boss. I shot some guns that were spinning around? Hid behind a wall? Shot the lady? I'm guessing there was a way to save the "computer girls" but I didn't know what I was doing was killing them to begin with.

A lot of the battles with multiple enemies were actually pretty cool. When you're in the office of what's-her-face in Shanghai after she jumps in her panic room - cool. I had a few different goes at that, taking up different positions from which I tried to hole myself up, or set some mines quickly before the entered the main room..

Also, before the first boss, when you're looking out the window at the trucks being packed to leave - if you start a battle with the people outside there is a cool fight where you change between picking people off from the window, to watching the stair case for people entering from the side.

I really wish I'd maxed out the cloaking system, silent running and typhoon by that point.. i could have snuck right into the middle of them and taken them all out.

I think I've fallen out of love with fantasy RPGs. I haven't been able to get into one since Morrowind. Gave up on Oblivion. Haven't been able to play through Dragon Age... They're all so samey. Really enjoyed Jade Empire, though. And Skies of Arcadia for Gamecube.

They're basically databases with a GUI. It takes a good storyline to set them apart. I still vastly prefer pen-and-paper FRPGs.

Whenever I read dead island I instantly think of pen island.com, and try to figure out the dirty word it makes. This infuriates me and as such I don't think i could ever play the game.

Watching BF3 videos and getting very excited. Can't wait for that game, I'll be playing that right up to Christmas, which as I tell the Mrs. will mean I'm saving money!!

Just bought a bundled Gars of War 360 (as I needed a replacement and it worked out slightly better value than a non bundled version). thing is I don't really like Gears of War so have a copy of GoW3 that I can't trade in so are there any sensible offers for it?
